So, who else’s radar is pinging? Maybe I’m just paranoid, but – as well as being bloody happy the old soak is finally going – I’m just wondering … Why? Why Now? Why Without any kind of a fight – even a play-fight?

Maybe the SKUNCs have learned something from fighting conservatives. Rather than have Boehner get voted out and they’d have to fight to retain control, they got him to resign. That leaves his heir apparent (McCarthy) being better able to take control. See, it allows the GOPe to substitute Boehner with a “consensus candidate” of their own, and we’d all have to wait years to “give him a chance” before we could do anything about it. That’s my guess. It was not the choice of Boehner alone but of his coalition’s backers who desperately need to keep the TEA Party out.
I’m quite sure that is what the RINOs are hoping to happen, but I look at the resignation of The Boner in military terms – a key enemy strong point has just been taken he was been forced into a retreat – the problem is that retreat is the most dangerous tactics in warfare, because the retreat often becomes a rout – which I think is in the cards as the Tea Party Movement Republicans smell the blood in the air and the RINO herd running away from the battlefield.
Personally, I think there is no way a Boner “Mini-Me” will be standing when the smoke clears as Congressman King points out – WE ARE ANIMALS!
If this is a retreat, then tell us how we outflank their rear guard. What do we expect the rear guard to be doing?
