A bit like the shaving of the head and fasting brigade.

    • MvL says:

Yes, once upon a time helping meant doing something practical like actually building something. Now you do it by jogging with mates to “raise awareness” – and let someone else to do the real work.
Of course a Twitter hashtag is also sure to get the situation under control quickly.

  2. Oswald Bastable says:

Mindless symbolism. Heaven forbid they do something to actually help someone affected by the cause of the week.

It seems to be all about pink nipples, where are the brown and black nipples? Racist tarts!http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_smile.gif

Almost as many men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year, but I don’t see any marches, marathons or wristbands for them.

    • Ronbo says:

….but the thing is that men -especially straight white Western men – are expendable…

I’m with you Darin. We could have a brown ribbon….lol
Hence why I refuse to go to the third day at the Sydney Cricket Test because I’m seriously over the BS of breast cancer…as if we don’t farken know about it….mind you I did go many moons ago and refused to donate…well wasn’t I a male chauvinist ( sarc )….told them to go away and leech the money from some other soft cock. The missus was most embarrassed….they were the days….http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

I would like a special day of the year where I don’t have to be aware of fucking breast cancer.

It seems like not a year goes by when we aren’t told of some new miracle cure for cancer that mysteriously never comes to fruition.

    Well it’s pretty obviou$ why. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_negative.gif

  6. George Romero says:

2500? bullshit , maby 400 gay women + 25 of their cousins husbands who turned gay due to small cocks and their semi gay wives who threw them out of the family home and some friends who hate men cause womens breast cancer is caused by men impregnating women who have to breastfeed and thus , this is the cause of breast cancer!.Muslim bints who hate gays also showed up to make their presence felt to throw spanner into workshttp://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_bye.gif

I almost hesitate to say it because I’m suspect it will precipitate an avalanche of criticism but isn’t the “urge to belong” also shown by those who regularly comment on blogs which express opinions they share ?

Remember to take a deep breath before leaping to the keyboard.

    • KG says:

That may be a factor, Minette, for sure.
But there’s a difference between seeking out like-minded people for a discussion and the exchange of ideas, and the urge to become part of a mindless herd.

      • Darin says:

I wouldn’t describe CR commenters as a herd like the pink clad sheeple brigade,we are more like a well read wolf pack.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cool.gif

      • Wombat says:

Took the words out of my mouth.

Once this sad herd of clowns broke apart and donned common clothing they wouldn’t have the slightest clue of who’d stood next to them the day before.

That doesn’t even qualify as herd mentality. It’s an order of convergence lower still, akin to whitebait swimming in schools.
