On the “bollocks” link, I was heartened by many of the comments posted underneath that story. There was a healthy dose of skepticism for (a) the media and (b) the members of the religion of permanent victimhood. I’ve not seen that before; maybe the worm has finally started to rotate?
I think the polls are being weighted low given how many people are turning out for Trump.
When I started pubbing, about 1968, there was an old boy in the pub every night, who used to be a motorcycle drag racer. I reckon that he was doing this in the pre-war years. He claimed that the high octane fuel, which they also used to clean grease off them, caused his blindness. Anyway, he had zero regrets and plenty of good stories to tell. When blind he helped someone modify a Honda 50 engine for drag racing. So it’s nice to see that story, the Fastest Indian is a good tale as well.

Whew, almost outta puff, just got back from Breitbart, heck of a jog, no buses and all that. Breitbart has more on the Disney Fit family. Sorry, can’t or won’t link. You know where it is.
How…inconvenient for those fine, impartial folk of the MSM, eh Victor?
I raised a few hackles on Twitter the other day.
I asked what the new bar for a mass shooting was (four dead OR wounded, including the shooter).
I then reflected that this means the vast majority of “mass shootings” are statistically provable to be committed by Blacks, and not even on a per capita basis, but by gross.
The worst thing about this rubbish being touted on the msm is the thought that someone somewhere may accept it at face value. FFS!!!!
I was coming away from the butchers shop with a bunch of meat today and saw a Maori lad, about 14 or so, tagging a wall in a driveway. On impulse I went to ask the good chap to desist, followed by the Maori kid’s tall mate and him followed by my son who is a Kung Fu type of guy.
Tagger told me he would write what he liked on “his” wall and then called me a niggah for goodness sake. I’m tanned whitey but no niggah. No harm was done to anyone but the Tangatwhenua to whom all is owed moved on before I collapsed with fear and offense at being labelled. Son expressed a view that these Maori kids were doomed and expressed his pleasure that there was none of this in Queenstown where he lives . Not sure why but maybe its to do with not being able to live there and collect welfare or something?
A nice end to the year really having never confronted a loser in this way before.
We’ve had a new occurrence regarding welfare bums in our country district, and reportedly many other country districts as well.
The bums determine the maximum distance they can be forced to travel to seek/attend work. They then move to a location equal to that distance +1km from the nearest city.
Needless to say, there’s not a lot of work out here and even less that they’re qualified to do.
Try lugging an antique chest of drawers up an apartment block stairwell.
Try bringing it down in six months when your rent is jacked up and you have to move.
Bring it back up another set of stairs in another apartment block.
Repeat again in six months.
Modern city living is not conducive to having nice things. When I read the part in “Camp of Saints” when the man in the seaside villa is listing off the ancient artifacts that surround him in his ancestral home, it almost makes me weep.
Oops. That second smiley should have been a thumbs down.
“To say these reports of the US military taking one side and the CIA taking the other could have explosive repercussions would be putting it mildly:
“The military’s resistance dates back to the summer of 2013, when a highly classified assessment, put together by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, then led by General Martin Dempsey, forecast that the fall of the Assad regime would lead to chaos and, potentially, to Syria’s takeover by jihadi extremists, much as was then happening in Libya. A former senior adviser to the Joint Chiefs told me that the document was an ‘all-source’ appraisal, drawing on information from signals, satellite and human intelligence, and took a dim view of the Obama administration’s insistence on continuing to finance and arm the so-called moderate rebel groups. By then, the CIA had been conspiring for more than a year with allies in the UK, Saudi Arabia and Qatar to ship guns and goods – to be used for the overthrow of Assad – from Libya, via Turkey, into Syria. The new intelligence estimate singled out Turkey as a major impediment to Obama’s Syria policy. The document showed, the adviser said, ‘that what was started as a covert US programme to arm and support the moderate rebels fighting Assad had been co-opted by Turkey, and had morphed into an across-the-board technical, arms and logistical programme for all of the opposition, including Jabhat al-Nusra and Islamic State.
Lieutenant General Michael Flynn, director of the DIA between 2012 and 2014, confirmed that his agency had sent a constant stream of classified warnings to the civilian leadership about the dire consequences of toppling Assad. The jihadists, he said, were in control of the opposition. Turkey wasn’t doing enough to stop the smuggling of foreign fighters and weapons across the border. ‘If the American public saw the intelligence we were producing daily, at the most sensitive level, they would go ballistic,’ Flynn told me. ‘We understood Isis’s long-term strategy and its campaign plans, and we also discussed the fact that Turkey was looking the other way when it came to the growth of the Islamic State inside Syria.
Our policy of arming the opposition to Assad was unsuccessful and actually having a negative impact,’ the former JCS adviser said. ‘The Joint Chiefs believed that Assad should not be replaced by fundamentalists. The administration’s policy was contradictory. They wanted Assad to go but the opposition was dominated by extremists. So who was going to replace him? To say Assad’s got to go is fine, but if you follow that through – therefore anyone is better. It’s the “anybody else is better” issue that the JCS had with Obama’s policy.’ The Joint Chiefs felt that a direct challenge to Obama’s policy would have ‘had a zero chance of success’. So in the autumn of 2013 they decided to take steps against the extremists without going through political channels, by providing US intelligence to the militaries of other nations, on the understanding that it would be passed on to the Syrian army and used against the common enemy, Jabhat al-Nusra and Islamic State.
Once the flow of US intelligence began, Germany, Israel and Russia started passing on information about the whereabouts and intent of radical jihadist groups to the Syrian army; in return, Syria provided information about its own capabilities and intentions. There was no direct contact between the US and the Syrian military; instead, the adviser said, ‘we provided the information – including long-range analyses on Syria’s future put together by contractors or one of our war colleges – and these countries could do with it what they chose, including sharing it with Assad. We were saying to the Germans and the others: “Here’s some information that’s pretty interesting and our interest is mutual.” End of conversation.
The Joint Chiefs let it be known that in return the US would require four things: Assad must restrain Hizbullah from attacking Israel; he must renew the stalled negotiations with Israel to reach a settlement on the Golan Heights; he must agree to accept Russian and other outside military advisers; and he must commit to holding open elections after the war with a wide range of factions included. “
Interesting. Very. Thanks, Jamie.

Worked out swimmingly in Egypt, didn’t it?
Sounds like the same old walk-in for NATO to do in Syria what they did in the Ukraine.
CIA – that’s Hussein Obama and his lapdog jihadi-john-brennan. Bloke’s have easily earned themselves a spot on the deck of cards – unsure how high up they should rank, maybe they could be jacks or queens???

To KG, Gecko and all the participants on this fine blog – Merry Christmas!
Thank you, Mawm. May you and yours have a relaxed and peaceful Christmas too.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL THE CRUSADERS IN THE WORLD! HO, HO, HO!
….and remember to offend the Leftists and the Islamists by going to church on Christmas Eve.
OOPS! Make that Christmas Day, as it is just that in New Zealand and Australia!
‘As the Russian jet approached the US vessel, the electronic device disabled all radars, control circuits, systems, information transmission, etc. on board the US destroyer. In other words, the all-powerful Aegis system, now hooked up – or about to be – with the defense systems installed on NATO’s most modern ships was shut down, as turning off the TV set with the remote control…’
Russians, gotta love’m,they expect us to believe they can shut down a carrier battle group’s radar with one plane, but they can’t stop Turkey from shooting down an Su-24 with 30 year old AIM 7 missiles launched from a neutered F-16
Our communist muslim president is currently the weak link in our national security.
He sure is. The islamist’s friend. Piece of shit.
Putin is like Darth Vader – he can kill us all with just one evil thought!
