      I think it was at Agincourt that the sign “two fingers rampant” acquired its current meaning. The French had threatened to cut off the fingers of the English longbowmen because they were decisive in battle. And the English replied by winning the battle and then demonstrating that they still possessed those two fingers!

    All of Europe with any luck. When Britain goes, so will Holland, Austria and Huingary by the end of the year – and once the house of cards come done, with any luck it’s the end of the Euro and Eurocrats hanged from the lampposts in Brussels!

    My prediction remains the same. Regardless of the votes, there will be an EU victory by a margin just large enough to avoid a recount. Put money on it.

      Are there any proper studies on why the Germans voted for the NSDAP (German National Socialist Workers Party) in 1932 and 1933? If there have been such studies, they will contain the answer.

      In brief, I suspect that it is very unusual to be both sane and informed. All the sane persons of my acquaintance seem to be deliberately ill-informed and will rely on the government recommendation to vote “remain”.

            Given that the Establishment have been busy entrenching socialist welfare state thinking since about 1907 (when the Fabian Society was founded) (eg National Insurance Act 1911) (therefore some 5 or 6 generations) my vote would be on the absence of personal responsibility. But good cases could be made to include the other headings as well.

    All I’ve got to say is if the EU steals the election in Britain, the Euro-tyrants will make a European wide revolution inevitable; an insurrection will be so bloody and terrible by the use of the advanced killing technology of the 21st century, that it will make the French Revolution and Reign of Terror of 1789-1794 look like a nice Sunday picnic and Robespierre a bleeding heart liberal.

    And the same goes for this November’s presidential election in the USA…

      Ron,

      It is said that by 1936/7 or so that many of the German population knew that letting the NSDAP rule them was a bad idea. But most of them kept their heads down, and carried on feeding the beast in the hope that it would eat them last. Why different this time?

      And as KG pointed out a little while ago, the State surveillance is now very well entrenched and the State will go in H A R D against those who oppose it. We wouldn’t get anywhere near as far as Wat Tyler in the 1381 Peasants’ Revolt before the leaders are killed. See the Oregon “traffic stop” incident and what the British police do to Tommy Robinson.

      Regardless of the fact that they are only one search engine among several, if Google de-indexes a web site, it sinks. I once had a site on a .co.cc sub-domain. Google decided that because there were too many criminals on .co.cc (probably egged on by Mr Plod who noted that no-one needed to provide proof of identity documents when getting their sub-domain, and therefore they are all criminals) they would de-list them all. And so .co.cc failed as a business and all their sub-domains fell over as well.

      Stalin noted that the one who counts the votes has more power than all of those who vote. There must be something similar about web sites and those who index them.

      It’s like I’ve said since 2005 when I wrote in one of my first articles on my blog that it would come to civil war…I could see the storm clouds gathering. In fact, looking back, the Left was already in a fighting mode and no compromise with the Right would be acceptable – they wanted unconditional surrender – and this did not happen.

      On the other hand, the Right – with incredible discipline tried to find a way they could somehow live in the same country with people 180 degrees out of phase without even a minimum of civilized conduct. The history of the last ten years as been a catalogue of one criminal act against the U.S. Constitution right after another – so we have reached the point that law cannot be said to exist in any meaningful way.

      If you look back on American history – this is exactly what happened in the ten years or so leading up to the first U.S. Civil War. The South wanted that conflict and wanted the entire country to be a slave nation. When the North attempted compromise, the South took this as a sign of weakness and like bullies everywhere went on with a one more outrageous demand than the last. Then violence broke out in places like Kansas with pitched battles in the streets where artillery was used. In 1859 there was the John Brown raid on Harper Ferry, Virginia where federal troops were to put down a slave revolt to the disgust of most people in the North.

      Then came in 1860 the election of Lincoln – a man the South would not have as president. In 1861 civil war finally broke out.

      In a general way I see the same happening once again, as the Left will not accept Trump as president and they want civil war whether they admit it or not and have for the last ten years or better.

      The Leftist revolution…”This is what we have waited for, this is it, boys – this is war.” – they will sing no doubt.
