    The Myths of American Slavery-

    http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2016/06/the_myths_of_american_slavery.html

“You see, Mr. Bunch is wrong on one key point. Slavery is not everybody’s story — it must remain exclusively a story for the United States and its people. Only we are required to bear the indelible stain of this country’s original sin — and it appears those who entered or will enter here assume this mantle of guilt themselves a century-and-a-half after the institution of slavery was ended.

It is a scab that must be picked at incessantly — not out of any real concern for those who suffered centuries ago, but to gain political advantage today. Our nation can nominally assuage its relentless shame with assorted forms of reparations from those who never were masters to those who never were slaves.”

Watched this yesterday [warning it’s like a 6 hour marathon]

It has been blocked from view on the following YouTube country site(s):
France, Germany, Canada, Czech Republic, Poland, Israel, Italy, French Guiana, French Polynesia, French Southern Territories, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, New Caledonia, Reunion, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Wallis and Futuna, Austria, Switzerland

Since the mid-20th century, the world has only ever heard one side of an incredible story. The story of a boy from an ordinary family whose ambition it was to become an artist, but who instead became a drifter.
His destiny however was not to drift into the awaiting oblivion, but to rise to the greatest heights of power, eventually to become one of the most influential men who ever lived.

    @Jamie:

I’m a former history teacher on the high school level and life time history buff .

I’ve just watched the first half hour of the documentary on Hitler that you linked – and I agree with you – it’s looking like a very skillful mixture of neo-Nazi propaganda and fawning love affair with old Adolf…Especially that sickening “love music” on the introduction.

I couldn’t help but think of Mel Brook’s “The Producers” and the crazy ex-Nazi soldier who writes, “A Springtime For Hitler” in New York City during the early 1960s – OH, PLEASE! And so far not a word in the documentary about Hitler’s truly insane ideas about the Jews that were developed when he was an out-and-out bum in the streets of Vienna.

Instead what we have in the opening is what a brave lad old Adolf was in WW I! How well he got along with his fellow soldiers….his two Iron Crosses…Yes, old Adolf was just your typical patriotic German super trooper of WW I.

Perhaps this image will be corrected later in the documentary…I will continue to watch.

  5. Ronbo says:

Speaking of Adolf – today is D-Day the Sixth of June, when in one of the greatest military feats in history – the Western Allies – by planes and ships landed in Normandy on what many military experts said was, “Mission Impossible” – the invasion of Hitler’s Fortress Europe in the teeth of an awesome Nazi army backed by coastal defenses years in the making.

But it was done by the Greatest Generation who manned the tip of the spear – the poor, bloody, miserable infantryman:

Like Willie and Joe, for example….who were all guts and no glory.

Hillary lecturing people on the law. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_scratch.gif

It rings somewhat hollow. Say what you will about Obama but when he ran for office he didn’t have a trail of abuses of office at the highest levels of power (he didn’t have much of anything). The response to anything and everything Hillary says is pretty simple.

“What? Aren’t you in jail yet?”

USA Today doing a holier-than-thou lecture on integrity and honest is like the Godfather preaching the same sermon to Richard Nixon.

I should know…I briefly worked as a “Metro Reporter” for Florida Today which was part of the chain in the late 1980s – and my fucking editor rewrote my column one too many times and I quit.

Call me old fashioned, but I don’t like people calling me on the phone at all hours jumping into my shit because under my name in the newspaper, the metro editor posted lies.

Nevertheless, the example the Marine captain gives is a perfect demonstration of personal and professional integrity.

        • Darin says:

Good article and a fine point, but I would argue it goes beyond simple integrity. As CIC she would have the supreme responsibility of possibly ordering those under her command to their deaths in the event a make or break military action becomes necessary during her watch.

I believe she has already failed in that supreme responsibility in the time leading up to,during and after Benghazi and that alone disqualifies her for the job.

Reminds of the time many years ago in Orlando, Florida when an armed robber tried to rob a fast food eatery in the downtown – the robber pulled his gun and demanded everything in the cash register – only to hear the click, click, click of the safeties being released on about a dozen 9mm automatics behind him.

This was the breakfast crowd from the FBI field office and the U.S. Marshals’ Service just down the block at the federal courthouse.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

This little gem from Motorsport magazine is worth a look.

“We parked and then headed out on foot across the fields, parallel to an undulating straight, before parking ourselves on the grass bank by the kink at its end. A grass bank. The distance between where I sat and the road where the bikes would come past was not measurable. ‘Are we really going to be allowed to stay here?’ I asked. ‘Why on earth not?’ came Goodwin’s reply. Eventually a marshal did approach, I was convinced to shoo us away. In fact he came to deliver a safety briefing which ran, in its entirety: ‘keep your feet off the road when they come past will you?”http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

        From pt 1

        https://westernrifleshooters.wordpress.com/2016/06/06/bracken-piss-christ-piss-koran/

“After a career spent pounding bolts hanging the high steel, it felt strange for him to be wearing a white hard hat for his trip into Manhattan. The white hard hat and the crane-logo polo shirt were just a disguise for his mission. Like his father before him, Mike was a union man, from the time he got out of the Army, until he’d retired a few years earlier. The New York Ironworkers Local Union 461 had carried him all the way through his family-raising years. Now, the kids were gone, and his wife had passed away.

Mike had always worn a scuffed-to-hell red hard hat with an American flag sticker on the front. Shiny white hard hats were for management pukes way down in the trailers, and for inspectors and reporters and a few other random assholes who would occasionally make an appearance at nose-bleed height. Well, maybe they weren’t all assholes. Some of them were pretty cool, like the construction company honcho who had given him the white hard hat right off his head on the job site parking lot, and offered Mike a salaried position with his big and growing company. That was a line Mike Dolan couldn’t cross—he’d be a union man until the day he died—but it was a welcome gesture. And now that white hard hat was on his head….”

Just finished watching “A Dangerous Man”, about T.E. Lawrence and Faisal at the Paris peace conference.
Simply brilliant, can’t recommend it highly enough.
(The fact that I’ve been fascinated by the man since I was a kid may have something to do with that, though).

“All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.” Lawrence of Arabia

Something is telling me this story doesn’t finish with a happy ending….
