    • Ronbo says:

1860 style secession talk except this time the core of the Confederacy will be the Pacific states of California, Oregon, Washington and maybe Nevada.

      History repeats itself?

  4. Ronbo says:

Another Ronbo, “I told you so.” – To recap: “No matter how this election turns out there will be violence because about half the country will not accept the verdict of the polls.”

Thus the Left is already going postal with mass marchers, riots and violence…..

And this builds on the violence from the Left we have seen during the last four years…

I call this run up to insurrection “The Bloody Kansas Period” of disorders in the 1850s leading up to open civil war.

Yes, ominous parallels with the 1860s U.S. Civil War: A nation divided. The Democrat and Republican parties at each other’s throat. The election of a controversial outsider “change” candidate representing the Republican Party in a bitter election campaign – In 1860, it was Abraham Lincoln. In 2016, it’s Donald Trump.

I think bottom line was then as now, the Democrats will not accept the Republican presidency and a return to the rule of law. I think rather than backpedal on anything done by Obama they will launch a wave of violence and physically attack we of the opposition party. The Republicans now as then aren’t looking for a fight, but I think they will defend themselves with bloody vigor once again when they realize there is no choice.

I’m waiting for KG to say I’m wrong.

I hope I’m wrong about civil war in the spring.

The incompetence of journalists has spread far and wide.
Here in New Zealand one of our Morning Report interviewers has demonstrated his by comments upon the percentages in the US elections.
He told listeners that only 50% of the US population voted and that roughly 50% of voters supported Clinton, Therefore President-Elect Trump has only 25%.
In a previous life I taught stats to journalism students and am appalled…but not surprised.

    DELICIOUS THOUGHTS

Liberal Democrats lash out at DNC, say overhaul needed to woo back working-class voters

Extract: “Much of the talk since Tuesday’s election has focused on selecting a new chairman, with the most frequently mentioned successor being Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.)”

For those who don’t know, Ellison was the first congressman to insist on taking his oath of office with his hand on the Koran.

Interestingly, Ellison noticeably left out mention of that “pioneering” in his own biography. https://ellison.house.gov/about/keiths-biography — Hmmm.

The Dems really have their heads where you’d expect it to be after defeat. They know they failed because they didn’t do more of what they were doing. Wish them well in their continued profound understanding of the American pulse.

          • Ronbo says:

As Rush Limbaugh pointed out today – not since 1920 – nearly 100 years ago – have Republicans so dominated the federal government. We have it all – The presidency, Senate, House and soon the U.S. Supreme Court.

What do the Democrats control? Just about all the major institutions and the federal bureaucracy.

The question is does the former ruling elite quietly go into the night as the GOP takes control of their commanding heights, one by one, or do they fight?

            History says they fight…Stay tuned.

            • Pascal says:

Yes they do Ronbo. Prog’s have that other slogan that I haven’t heard in a very long time because they’ve made so many advances lately without opposition that they’ve been able to forego with the 2nd part.

              What is the slogan?

“Two steps forward and one step back.”

As for the fighters, well, there are two types of those. There’s the slick knife in the back that the inner circle knows how to use (recall what happened to Robert Dornan).

The other type of slogan tells us of the other type of fighter:

              “No Enemies to the left.”

The Progs have utilized various means to protect their most effective activists, shock troops and thugs. (Remember Bill Ayers and how his prosecution somehow got bungled so that to this day he gloats “guilty as hell; free as a bird.”)

We have simply got to purge the Right of its scheming Progs this time or it’s all for naught. They’ll simply accept this one step back and scheme with all their might to hold back Trump. Or worse, given him what it seems he asked for but hide poison pills within, so that he shoulders the blame. It’s all to set things up for the next Dem capture of the Congress or Presidency. The GOPe likes that just fine.

Trump has to be smart, and all of us have to work hard to warn him of the hidden pitfalls. The hardest part is making sure he hears us.

  11. Ronbo says:

I’m not the only one concerned that a second U.S. Civil War brewing – Tonight it was the main topic and title of Bill O’Reilly’s Fox News program.

As is well known, O’Reilly is excellent at taking the “pulse of America” and the issue of civil war is on the minds of many ordinary Americans.

Like the Iraqi guy famously said, “No one believed civil war would start in our country until the day it did.”

‘Trump election ‘may make Aussie kids nervous’
The election of Donald Trump as the next US president may have made Australian children feel anxious and parents may need to reassure them, a community psychologist says.
Given the amount of media coverage the US election has been given in Australia, it would be naive to believe that children haven’t been affected by the intensely negative campaign.
Heather Gridley from Victoria University says it’s good to answer any questions their child may ask about Mr Trump as directly and as clearly as possible. Ms Gridley says it’s important to reassure them that Trump “isn’t going to come into your room at night”.
Children as young as three have heard of the billionaire businessman-turned- president. According to Ms Gridley she knows of one three-year-old boy who quizzed his mum about who Donald ‘Trumpet’ was and why he’s “so mean”. “Doesn’t he share his toys?” the boy asked. ..’

I’m Getting Nervous About All These Calls for Trump to Unify with the Losers
…We know that all of the protests at Trump rallies were bought and paid for primarily by George Soros, by the Democrat Party.  We are still being treated by the media to a picture of America that isn’t true.  They want you to believe that a majority of Americans is fit to fit to be tied and angry over the election of Donald Trump and as one of which we can never unify unless Trump caves on everything in order to get peace.  That’s what they’re trying to make everybody think, and that’s what’s making me nervous, when I hear so many on our side talk about now the need to cross the aisle and the need to unify.
The time to unify is after we have forced them into surrender just like we did the Japanese in World War II.  But the days of unifying with the losers because they’re mad and we don’t want the media saying mean things about us, they lost.  And, folks, they have been losing since 2010.  Obama would not have won his two elections were it not for his race…..’

This is the sort of thing Ronbo was talking about. Everyone expects it from the Left. But it’s the Progs embedded in the GOPe who will demand these compromises of which we are correct to be worried about. They badly need to be outed. They are the key to the establishment that Trump ran against. We must hope and pray and fight to see that Trump remains immune now to his early liberal tendencies of which they will try to reignite. I don’t know how to make it plainer that they have always been our biggest threat, and now is the time they are most dangerous.

        • Pascal says:

Glad you liked it KG. Now I have one more thing to drive home and I hope it gets repeated because it exposes in real time the operation of one of the Prog’s most used slogans.

“…We know that all of the protests at Trump rallies were bought and paid for primarily by George Soros, by the Democrat Party. ”
These are the Prog shock troops. They provide the excuse to “do something now!” Recall “never let a crisis go to waste.”

“when I hear so many on our side talk about now the need to cross the aisle and the need to unify.”

These are the Progs or their useful idiot parrots who see “No enemies to the Left” because they provide the excuse to compromise. Damnable bastards all because by extension we on the right ARE seen to be their enemies. But it’s an undeclared war. I’m saying we must declare it. And. Don’t. Let. Up.

        • Pascal says:

The first threat has materialized KG. NOT KIDDING: Trump already backing off of a full repeal of Obamacare

This headline is a bit misleading in that it is not an announcement. More like a trial balloon. If we in the hinterlands say to ourselves now — “well, at least he’s not clinton” — we will find the next time is even easier to ignore, and then habitual, and then the Progs will win again.

Now is the time to say not just no, but HELL NO.

And this news item was due simply in response to a request by Zero. Imagine what will happen when the GOPe starts to woo him and tell him he’s gotta placate the hired Leftist street thugs!

We cannot afford to let him off the hook. Shoot down this trial balloon now, and reload so you are ready for the next one . We cannot afford to sleep or let him off the hook.

          Don’t. Let. Up.

Darin: Can we have a thread where we can add the threats as they turn up? A sort of open house that fills a specific need. Maybe call it “Efforts to Steer Trump to the Left.”

Once Trump makes any decision we don’t like it will take Divine intervention to get him to back down. He can’t look indecisive and won’t. So before he acts we must scream as loud as we can in our own way, not like the Leftist scum.

          • Darin says:

I fully plan to hold the bastards accountable no matter which group of bastards is in power.

For example I didn’t like that Chris Christie was leading the transition selection, but I see that Mike Pence has taken over that role which is at least a step in the right direction.

Cascadia? You have to be kidding! Oregon, Washington and a big hunk British Columbia would make up the new republic.

Yes, at this point the secession movement out here on the Pacific coast is small and limited to the usual suspects, but there is the potential for this rebellion talk to sweep thru all parts of the Leftist alliance like wildfire.

If you recall after the election of Lincoln in 1860s talk of secession swept thru the Southern newspapers, colleges and general conversation growing into a firestorm. The first state to vote to leave the Union was South Carolina just before Christmas in 1860.

Today we have two states – California and Oregon – with secession already on the ballot. What if one of them votes to leave the Union? Western Oregon is crazy enough to do something PC, rash and stupid. Don’t believe me? Have you recently spent a day in Portland and listened to the talk on the street and at the university? The Portlanders by a vast majority have already left the Union in their minds – they are Americans only in the geographical context.

    OZYMANDIAS – PB Shelly

I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
    The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
    My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.”

        • Ronbo says:

An unfinished poem also written under the influence of opium because some damn neighbor dropped by wanted borrow something or other:

          In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
          A stately pleasure-dome decree:
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
          Through caverns measureless to man
             Down to a sunless sea.
So twice five miles of fertile ground
          With walls and towers were girdled round;
And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,
          Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree;
And here were forests ancient as the hills,
          Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.

But oh! that deep romantic chasm which slanted
Down the green hill athwart a cedarn cover!
A savage place! as holy and enchanted
As e’er beneath a waning moon was haunted
By woman wailing for her demon-lover!
And from this chasm, with ceaseless turmoil seething,
As if this earth in fast thick pants were breathing,
A mighty fountain momently was forced:
          Amid whose swift half-intermitted burst
Huge fragments vaulted like rebounding hail,
Or chaffy grain beneath the thresher’s flail:
And mid these dancing rocks at once and ever
It flung up momently the sacred river.
Five miles meandering with a mazy motion
Through wood and dale the sacred river ran,
Then reached the caverns measureless to man,
          And sank in tumult to a lifeless ocean;
And ’mid this tumult Kubla heard from far
          Ancestral voices prophesying war!
The shadow of the dome of pleasure
             Floated midway on the waves;
Where was heard the mingled measure
From the fountain and the caves.
It was a miracle of rare device,
A sunny pleasure-dome with caves of ice!

             A damsel with a dulcimer
In a vision once I saw:
             It was an Abyssinian maid
And on her dulcimer she played,
             Singing of Mount Abora.
             Could I revive within me
             Her symphony and song,
To such a deep delight ’twould win me,
That with music loud and long,
I would build that dome in air,
That sunny dome! those caves of ice!
And all who heard should see them there,
And all should cry, Beware! Beware!
His flashing eyes, his floating hair!
Weave a circle round him thrice,
And close your eyes with holy dread
For he on honey-dew hath fed,
And drunk the milk of Paradise.

In the Sixties he was an early critic of the war in Vietnam; but a few decades later, he was the first to say that Barack Obama was not up to the job of being President. This was back in the days when pretty much everyone (present company excepted) was afraid – no, extremely reluctant to say anything critical of the first Commander In Chief who was Bee Ell Ayy Cee Kay.
Like Australia’s Rod Taylor, a solid actor more than a star.
    RIP sir.

From what I’m hearing, Trump is taking reconciliation too far. When you hear it you too will be convinced he has a death wish.

I’ve been told that he plans on offering Hillary a job in his administration.

    Hat tip, GoV

    I love the part 00:24
“He’s asking questions which, to be honest, have poisonous consequences, because they are challenging NATO and therefore the model on which European defence is based.”

I’d say this is an indication that the supreme EUSSR leader is whistling past the graveyard in acting like more Brexits are not on his mind.

The trouble I have with the word conservative is that it has too broad a meaning. It also applies to those who scream “don’t rock the boat” and in doing so clearly mean, being in their cushy positions, “don’t upset my apple cart. ” And that includes those who rule a rotting ordered — and fast growing disordered — society, and turn a blind eye to the lawless and a deaf ear to the lawful as long as they can have theirs for a bit longer.

The hubris filled Leftists and Progs who have been ruining and continue to ruin life for coming generations can hear their nemesis approaching and their cowardice is showing.

Yep. And he doesn’t like the fact that Trump is saying to the Euros “pay for your own defence instead of giving the money as welfare to invaders – at the American taxpayer’s expense”.

Now of course there are stories going every direction about Trump supporters laying into poor hapless Clintonites. One has already been exposed as a hoax and I expect most if not all of the rest are equally fake.
Another fine example of lefty disconnect. It’s hard for sensible people to take your claims of victimisation seriously when you’re out every night rioting and scrawling KILL TRUMP across the wall.
