Trudeau wimp out big time when he got 100 million angry tweets from Americans who wanted to give him a neck tie party for saying Castro was a good guy.
“While a somewhat controversial figure for his ideas on wealth redistribution, Ned Kelly should also be remembered for his keen interest in blacksmithing.”
Absolutely brilliant. Like his artwork too!! How come flagburners don’t get arrested?
Burning the Flag is protected free speech under the 1st Amendment. And I do support the right to do so,even though I do not support the thought or lack there of behind it.
Somethings are just to sacred and should not be used in such a cheap manner, especially one that millions have fought and died to protect the ideals that it represents.I always thought this piece puts it all into perspective-
It is the Soldier, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer
Who has given us freedom to protest.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Soldier, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.

Let them burn the flag; for the flames will show them in their true light. (Write down of their names, and keep the list forevermore.)
I have to disagree with my friend, Darin – I would make burning the American flag a federal felony with a mandatory sentence of one year and one day in order that flag burners become convicted felons, and when released from prison given a mandatory three year supervised probation with a required 40 hour unpaid work week at the nearest VA hospital. The food, room and uniforms would be furnished by the government. A required part of this duty would be to raise, lower and care for the hospital’s American flags. Failure to perform said duties would result in American citizenship being revoked and mandatory life sentence in remote U.S. territories like Saipan under the supervision of the local law enforcement.
I agree. In NZ a few years ago we had an idiotic maori protestor who decided to shoot holes in our flag due to his immense suffering from white peoples’ colonisation (a word beyond his vocabulary.) In fairness to NZ’ers there was widespread dismay for his actions, despite the media shielding him.The whites in NZ saved the locals from mass self-inflicted destruction but somehow we have to continue paying for the acts of those alive in the 19th century. In my experience any claims based on indigenous rights and grievances are really just moves to demand money. I wager that that will be the next phase of the Dakota pipeline squabble. (You heard it here first!)
Here the Indians are like most minorities, there are a few vocal “leaders” that make all kinds of noise supposedly representing their people, when in reality they don’t.
Just like Bambi Trudeau killed the Gateway pipe line in Canada, which cost the tribes jobs and a share of the revenue. He yielded to activists, most of whom are probably mostly white and liberal.

Well, after all, the doctorate in movie watching and beer drinking meant so much to the young lad of 30 years, what was he to do?
I’ve been told that I have a one-track mind.
