   Vivaldi is great, but one gets tired of the four seasons as it’s over recorded IMHO. I prefer something more along these lines.

   Classical music wise – I am – you very likely guessed it – a Richard Wagner fan! I’ve seen all his operas either in person or by DVD. Wagner is not popular in Germany as I discovered while stationed there in the 1970s because the composer was Hitler’s favorite – and Israel until recently banned him because of the Holocaust.

   Of course, in the late 1960s when I became a Wagnerian I knew nothing about the composer, who was indeed a raving German revolutionary, nationalist and anti-Semite, I just liked the music, especially this one:
