Stolen Valour:

Women will lead Anzac Day parades in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne to highlight their contributions to the armed forces
The one-off initiative will recognise their contributions in the defense forces and acts to illustrate the evolving times of Australian veterans…’
That is not and never has been the purpose of Anzac Day.

It’s bad enough that Anzac Day has descended to the level of a fun family day out, but this is a step too bloody far.

It would be interesting to hear a Jordan Peterson acolyte of Auzzie or Kiwi origins put this in the light it is begging for.

“…will recognise their contributions….” Not until they have died in war at the same rate as men. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_negative.gif

All part of trivializing and demonising what it means to be a man.

  4. Gregoryno6 says:

Just wait till next year when the usedtobe’s lead the parade.
You know – used to be male, used to be female.

  5. Odakyu-sen says:

This is only to be expected, given the feminization of the Australian Army. I would like to know who is responsible for this initiative, and their political ideology.

I don’t think it’s any one or two people, rather a result of the current weltanschauung of the ruling bureaucrats today.
      Which corrupts everything it touches.

In the 1970s some “protestors” were charged with disturbing the peace when they tried to place a wreath for “the dead and dying in Vietnam” alongside the RSA’s own wreathes on their own memorials. It was essentially a tacky way to protest the government’s involvement in sending troops to Vietnam. The arrests of this lot were met with accusations of fascism against the very people who had fought (and died doing so) fascism. This move in Australia could be a noble one provided it features genuine women participants of past conflicts and provided their presence doesn’t attempt to diminish the sacrifices of men.

  7. Warren Tooley says:

I don’t think it will be a one off, I’m pretty sure, they’ll try this every year.

  8. Warren Tooley says:

What they could do instead is have National munitions day, in remembrance of all the women who worked in the factories to supply the munitions for the war. This would be an extra day, this way they could keep ANZAC day the way it is.

LOL. No SJW Cretin will ever accept a rational alternative Warren. The object of Critical Theory was, from the start, to “tear it all down baby,” where “it” is Western culture. That’s because Marxism failed at class envy in the West. In order to kill great swathes of people in the West (as it had in other cultures) Marxism instead aimed to have the West turned against itself. A sort of social autoimmune disease before we ever heard of such things.

Because rationality was one of the first casualties, you ought to see why offering rational solutions to the irrational is a fools errand. Termination with severe prejudice is the only real answer — which, when you think about it, is hitting them with their own stick.

great video! After a slow start it gets better.
“It was the toil of men — that of our fathers and grandfathers — that built the industry, the railways, the water and sewage systems that lifted millions, if not billions, out of subsistence level poverty. It is typically the male sex that is willing to shoulder the risk and endure the suffering necessary to push back human boundaries for the benefit of others. It is typically the male left-brain psyche that is the inventive one, the one to gaze at the heavens and to have the inclination to go there. It’s time for men and boys to feel good about themselves again!..”

This whole ” concept” is an utterly pathetic effort of one group (a subset of entitled, never-done-ANYTHING-of-actual-worth “women”) to try and make themselves (AND the rest of the world, via collective “guilt”) “FEEL” as though they have intrinsic worth, by virtue of existence. I’m with mawm on this one; when women DIE at the same rates as men, THEN they’ll have EARNED the right for such displays.

The whole idea of women in combat goes against human nature – the women are the mothers of the next generation – so even if a war kills off most of the men, a country’s population will be replaced at some point – but if a generation of women get knocked off in a war – that’s the end of the country.

Nazi Germany – for example – drafted boys down to 12 years old and men above 65 years old in the final days of WW II – and desperate as the Nazis were as the Allies closed for the kill in the spring of 1945 – the German women were never put on the frontline.

As a result after a bloody war that cost the lives of the majority of a generation of men, the German population was replaced and increased because German women were largely spared.

Ditto for the South after the U.S. Civil War that wiped out most of a generation of Southern men – the women survived and replaced the fallen heroes of the only war America ever lost.

Great to see you, darlin’ DM. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_heart.gif

Thank you, SweetHeart!!! How are you & the lovely Gecko doing?
Have some news – over a year ago, I called about replacing my laptop. Spoke with a nice (younger, so I thought) gentleman. Months later, he called to see how I’d fared with hurricane Harvey; we started texting/emailing/calling – turns out, he’s a year older than me. We MAY be moving to Phoenix together (him from San Jose, me of course from Houston) – met him there last month, my allergies were a not-so-fond MEMORY (it’s DRY in Phoenix!!), so you & Gecko would be visiting us in AZ, vs. Texas http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif
