 Whodathunkit, eh? Pity our ancestors never knew that. /sarc
With potatoes oven-roasted in beef fat and a few beers, followed by a cigar…we could all live forever. :)

  2. Anything that tastes that good and makes you feel so good, must be good for you.

H*E*B, a Texas-based grocery, offers VERY good brisket on sale on occasional holidays. Got one for Easter a few years ago – nicely pre-sliced, I was able to season it to MY family’s preferences. It came out SO tender & juicy, “we” couldn’t get enough – it disappeared quickly http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif
Good to know it’s now considered “good” for us. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_heart.gif

How did you cook it, DM?

        Hey, Hon!!!
I just wrapped it in aluminum foil (AFTER seasoning it with garlic, onions, bell peppers) and put it in the oven, at about 350°F, let it slowly cook, melting some of the fat, getting all the seasoning flavors mixed together. It was approximately 3 hours cooking, came out WONDERFULLY. I DO want to try preparing one on a grill, with some mesquite or hickory wood for additional flavor.
Good to “see” you here, KG – how are YOU & Gecko doing?

We’re kinda ok right now, thanks for asking. I’ll mail you later.
How’s things with you? Still packing heat? http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_wink.gif

Eh, fighting Graves disease – no biggie, have GREAT doctors through the VA here.
Couple of weeks ago, was taking out trash for burning, discovered a neighbor’s dog on the burn pile – went over to her (she’s a smallish German Shepherd) and she was nothing but skin & bones. Gave her cat food that night (only thing I hand on hand). Next morning, discover she has 3 3-4 month old puppies with her. A 52 lb. bag of dog food later, Animal Control came by and took them all in. Puppies are being socialized, apparently had no positive interactions with humans til I found them. Mama is probably having left hind foot amputated, as does were dangling, then skin broke & bones were visible. I’m trying to adopt her, with a chip assigned to me.
Daughter is divorcing the creep – details in my email to Gecko.
