‘…Even by the BBC’s abysmal standards, this programme was a disgrace: an insult to the intelligence, a betrayal of the Reithian principles on which the BBC was founded, and a shameless piece of propaganda on behalf of the watermelons who would destroy our civilisation.
As for Sir David Attenborough, it’s time this whispery voiced, gorilla hugging, walrus scaring Malthusian was recognised for what he is: not as a national treasure but as a national embarrassment long, long past his sell-by date.’

    Wabbit has a theory. The guy died several years ago and the Green/climate change industrial complex kept it secret and had him stuffed and wired for sound, so the BBC (*spit*) can trot him out as a supposedly credible commenter – their emotibot – on things he knows fuck-all about.

    A great example of why government entities should not have any access to the communications channels. They simply can lie without repercussions. There’s already groups of free market scoundrels to do the job but who eventually have to take responsibility of their lies in terms of loss of profits and their jobs.

      A Netflix Original series “Our Planet” narrated by the same guy, Penelope Cruz and Selma Hayek looked real nice until they started in with the climate change crap fairly subtly (for them).

    Can’t find the link but I saw a report that a Brit interviewer was talking to one of the big cheeses of the latest wasted sit down global warming movements to annoy normal people. He said to her “Attenborough isn’t a saint, he’s only a broadcaster”. Of course the sky fell in, thousands of afflicted souls weighed in to condemn his awful crime to confirm what they already believe; that there is no God or sainthood. Pardon my confusion.       I’ve seen so much worse that I actually found this to be watchable. And Peterson does such a great job of being unflappable (except for his laudably emotional response to the question about his friendship with the totem pole artist) and making great points against the pointed questions.

      Sometimes I think he pays these “journalists” to attack him so he can look good.

          Hey, right. “I could use a proxy. Care to volunteer? How can I ever repay the debt?” Of course the candidate would be sought and the question posed by Peterson’s literary agent, but it’s still him at arm’s length. My skeptic’s nose has been twitching since shortly after Cathy Newman. It’s all gone so well for him and his prestige rises and booksales and appearance tickets have risen stupendously. I love what he says and how good an impact he appears to have made, but I wasn’t born last night.

          All involved would not feel tarnished in any way since they’d all have recalled to them somewhere along the way “Hey, that’s showbiz!”
