   With the 80% movement booming the way it is, there are a lot more AR-15s, AR10s and “Glock” and “Sig” pistols then show up in any statistics and no ownership roster.

   Which is why you don’t want the government to know how many guns there are and who owns them. Unfortunately, we’re already hosed in that respect in the US.

     Depending on state,yes,but most states don’t register either.Not that it really matters anyway,lots of guns will have accidentally fallen in the river on hunting trips by the time anything we need to worry about gets signed into law.
