Until we have, something similar here in Australia and in New Zealand, the feral scum who prey on law-abiding people will continue to hold the initiative. And people will continue to be expected to carefully calibrate their responses to thuggery, often while under enormous stress and with a family to protect. The law is an effing ass. And so are those judges who enforce it.
