Aussie taxpayers are being ripped off. Again.

“..Today a story is emerging that I’m just trying to get confirmation of and commentary on. 12 refugees we hear, not 17, but 12 – these are asylum seekers – killed in the December Christmas Island tragedy, are to be buried in Sydney tomorrow. It’s at the request of the families. We want them to be buried, not on Christmas Island, not in WA, we want it in Sydney.
They’ll be farewelled at cemeteries in Rookwood and Rouse Hill. To farewell these people there will be 20 relatives from Christmas Island will be flown to Sydney for the funerals. I also have it on good authority that police will oversee the funeral. Further, it’s also been reported, that afterwards the relatives will be given a sight-seeing tour of Sydney before being flown back to Christmas Island. And here’s the rub; we can now confirm that the AFP will pick up the tab for the funerals, whilst the department of Immigration, through your tax dollars, is funding the flights. Tell me I’m dreaming here.  Every other Australian, if someone they love, if another family member died in another state or another territory, the government wouldn’t be paying to get your loved one to your home so you can bury him or her. That doesn’t happen…”         Andrew Bolt
