is the Vatican on-board with the New World Order?

I’m not sure what to make of this:
‘The Vatican called on Monday for the establishment of a “global public authority” and a “central world bank” to rule over financial institutions that have become outdated and often ineffective in dealing fairly with crises. The document from the Vatican’s Justice and Peace department should please the “Occupy Wall Street” demonstrators and similar movements around the world who have protested against the economic downturn…’  source

  1. Andrei says:

It’s not the Vatican per se it’s Vatican’s Justice and Peace department – a relic of Vatican 2 and the sixties.

The press will hyperventilate over it but it means diddly in the scheme of things – unlike the Pope’s stance on Abortion which means a lot.

    • KG says:

Thanks Andrei. I’d appreciate your thoughts on just how much influence that department has and why–if it’s a relic of Vatican 2–it’s still dabbling in this stuff.
But then, I’d guess Vatican politics is pretty Byzantine…..

    • MK says:

Yeah, thanks for clearing that up, it did seem odd for the Vatican to be meddling in world affairs like this and calling for essentially a global EU, albeit one that will be even more useless, parasitical and destructive.

      • Kris K says:

Since when has the Vatican NOT meddled in world affairs??? – either through direct action/influence or through inaction when that better suited its purposes.

        For example:

“Yet, if the Roman Catholic Church pursues its plans to canonize Pope Pius XII, it will be more damaging to its reputation than another huge explosion of pedophile priest scandals. For even child molestation – evil and sinister as it is – remains a step below complicity in the extermination of millions of people and ordering mass kidnapping, two great sins among many by which Pius XII disgraced himself.” 2004
Schmuley Boteach, Orthodox Rabbi and US media personality

“We can’t help but notice that under Cardinal Ratzinger’s tutelage, the Church began moves to elevate the infamous Pope Pius XII to the status of saint. Instead of repenting for the failure of the Church to give unequivocal messages telling all Catholics that they would be prevented from receiving communion for collaborating or cooperating in any way with Nazi rule, or for failing to hide and protect Jews who were marked for extermination, Ratzinger has sought to whitewash this disgraceful moment in Church history” 2005.
Michael Lerner, progressive Rabbi and editor of Tikkun

“I came back from Auschwitz on my own. I lost my mother, two sisters and one brother. Pius XII could have warned us about what was going to happen. We might have escaped from Rome and joined the partisans. He played right into the Germans’ hands. It all happened right under his nose. But he was an anti-Semitic pope, a pro-German pope. He didn’t take a single risk. And when they say the Pope is like Jesus Christ, it is not true. He did not save a single child.”
Settimia Spizzichino, the sole Roman Jewish woman survivor from the death camps

“With an unequalled cynicism the Vatican “suada” (art or way of persuasion) refers to a few Catholics who took a firm stand against the fascistic atrocities — and omits the fact that the Pope and his bishops did not support these courageous priests at all.”
Emil Carlebach, Jewish communist and survivor of Buchenwald

  2. kowtow says:

I wouldn’t worry too much either.
Note it is Reuters who are saying this will please the Occupiers.
It is fair to say that the banksters need to give some thought to their actions….too bloody right!
As to more global authorities, pffh, get stuffed Cardinal who ever you are!Stick to your knitting.
And KG,no doubt Vatican politics are very Byzantine as you put it.A pity the Byzantines are no longer in Byzantium.

  3. KG says:

I should add that I’m not looking for stick to beat the Vatican with–it’s just idle curiosity on my part.

  4. Robertvdl says:

Suppose that God exists, would this be his solution to the problem? I assume that the Vatican represents God. So the question should be :

is the God on-board with the New World Order? I yes That would make God part of the Elite.

Is He the Shepherd and we the Sheeple?

  5. The Gantt Guy says:

Assumptions on top of assumptions there, Robert.

One thing you’re right about though, and that is the He is the shepherd and we are the sheeple. The Bible uses that imagery because, well, people are basically stupid.

    • WAKE UP says:

No Gantt – SOME people are stupid

Oh, all right – MANY people are stupid.

      But not me.

  6. Kris K says:

Rev 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
Rev 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
Rev 13:13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Rev 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
Rev 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Rev 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
Rev 17:2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

    […]
Rev 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

    [Emphasis mine]

  7. Cadwallader says:

FFS. Who or what is “the great whore?”

The Catholic Chursh used to be a global public authority but it lost its primacy when it became a haven for kiddie-fiddlers. This, after a millenium of curbing the growth of science and its attendant human benefits.

  8. Cadwallader says:

All of the above stuff about “great whores etc..” reminds me of an incident years ago where a cop I knew quite well became enraptured with end of the world nonsense. He visited my wife and I, and remonstrated that as we both were using Bankcards at the time, we were bearing the mark of Lucifer. (The “b” in Bankcard was said to resemble three “6s” to look like the # 666.) By the end of the evening even our dog was pissing itself. (I now have a Mastercard…is that a biblical code for masturbation?) The evening included diagrams re the Club of Rome, world domination by big business and a lot of other bullshit. Episodes like this, serve to underlie the need for personal direction/reliance and determination. In a world where purposive ambitions can be readily derailed by garbage, one needs a firm handle on one’s tiller and not on one’s genitalia!

    • jonno1 says:

I well remember the infamous Bankcard (with the tricolour “b”). The sad thing is when (generally well-meaning) christians get hooked into this stuff, which is pretty well assured to turn non-christians off bigtime! Sure, what Kris K posted is scripture, but it’s also poetry/metaphor, so attempts at detailed interpretation are doomed to failure. My father pointed this out to me in my youth, using as an example the belief by some that Hitler was the antichrist. Strange how wise my dad turned out to be as I got older!

      • Kris K says:

I seriously believe it is so much more than simply “poetry/metaphor”, Jonno.

And as Satan doesn’t know when his time is finally up, I believe he has always had an “Antichrist” waiting in the wings – Hitler being just the latest example of this.

I believe the next one will be the real deal.

        • jonno1 says:

My point Kris is that it isn’t a menu, recipe or script that can be unequivocally interpreted (ie a bit like Genesis), but I do agree that it’s valid, even if we can’t understand it.

Oh, and I think Kissinger replaced Hitler, if memory serves :) Not sure who’s currently “waiting in the wings”. And you could be right about the next one – or not. There’s no way of knowing (except that we’re nearer the end than we once were!).

          • Kris K says:

I agree “of that day and hour knoweth no man”, Jonno, but we are certainly to know the season and look to the signs as indicaters of where we are on the prophetic spectrum. I believe we are of “This generation” [*Mt 24:34], and if Obama somehow manages to get in for a second term I believe he will then become a good candidate for the actual end times Antichrist. But I agree, only time will tell.

*Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

  9. Kris K says:

    Cad,

    Key:
“First Beast” = Antichrist; head of the then established One World Government.
“Second Beast” = “False Prophet” the head of the then established One World Religious system.
“Great Whore” = the then established One World [false] Religious system.

    Read between the lines.

    • Cadwallader says:

I did and in my simple mind I had (in order of beastliness) Clark, Cullen, Mallard, King, Dyson et al.
Rev 13:14 If this isn’t Cullen referring to Clark then I am lost.
Rev 16:14 This has to be the entire Labour caucus with Gillard visiting from Oz for the fun.

  10. KG says:

Sheesh! This wasn’t meant to turn into some massive anti-anything rant! I was just mildly curious, is all.

    • Kris K says:

      Fair enough, Keith.
In answer to your question, “is the Vatican on-board with the New World Order?”, and purely IMO (although I wouldn’t be alone in that opinion), I would say “Yes”.

The verses I quoted above just add context, shall we say.

  11. kowtow says:

    Cad,
It is just too simplistic to blame the RC Church for anti science and antedant human beliefs etc etc
Another view is that Catholic monks saved the western tradition by bringing Latin learning back from the Celtic fringe (where it was preserved in the monasteries that the barbarians had not destroyed) to mainland western Europe.
They set up new monasteries which were then the seats of learning/education /medicine and in many cases went on to be great university cities under the patronage of bishops/princes.

As to the pedophlia, I agree,a dreadful thing. However I have read that the percentage of abusers in the Church reflects that in any population. I’m not justifying, simply commenting.

The apocalyptic stuff is amusing and shows the danger of taking any text out of context.
Personally I like the Spike Milligan version, roughly repeated about Armagedon……
    …..arm a geddin outa here.

    • Kris K says:

“The apocalyptic stuff is amusing and shows the danger of taking any text out of context.”

Well how about you try putting it into ‘context’ for us then, Kowtow. I mean to say, you obviously believe there is an alternative take to what I proposed in my 10:15am comment. Here’s your big chance …

    • Cadwallader says:

Agreed the muslims are equally to blame. Afterall it was muslim crowds who murdered Hypatia and burned the Great Library of Alexandria. The greatest seat of learning in antiquity.

    • Cadwallader says:

The monasteries weren’t totally enlightened though were they? Let’s think about the dogma re the sun orbiting the earth. To this day this ridiculous myth is perpetuated. We still refer to “sunrise” and “sunset” when we know that the sun is not rising or setting, the earth is simply in the gravitational pull of the sun and it is the earth which rises and sets. To allege anything contrary to the church’s insistence in this subject did lead to incineration. Delightful.

  12. KG says:

“As to the pedophilia, I agree,a dreadful thing.”
yes indeed–but how about a little context:
In America alone, vastly greater numbers of schoolteachers are guilty of paedophilia and that’s something the media has tippy-toed around. Surprise, surprise…it wouldn’t do to upset the marxist teacher’s unions, would it?

    • Darin says:

Also many of the claims against the clergy are the result of “Past life regression” therapy which can used to fool the naive in to believing all manner of non-sense is why they are FUBAR mentally.

  13. The Gantt Guy says:

KG, that sound you just heard is the lid coming off a big ol’ can of worms.

  14. KG says:

 It sure is, Gantt. I don’t have time right now to look for it, but there’s a great research paper on the true numbers of teachers who have been suspended for years on full pay due to dodgy behaviour. I’ll look for it later.

  15. Andrei says:

To pull this thread back from the abyss here is an amusing post from a Catholic Priest which might give some insight to how he views these things.

  16. posted this also-have some great comments from my site friends…
