Playing “crucify the conservative”

‘..Herman Cain’s campaign is revealing suspicions about who is behind the story regarding the former unidentified employees who accused Mr. Cain of sexual harassment in the late 1990’s. According to a source who is friends with the Cain campaign, not only is the Rick Perry campaign involved but also the Mayor of Chicago and former Obama White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is likely involved with the sexual harassment accuser attacks…’       source

Of course unfounded accusations from unnamed persons, churned by the media is all it takes to destroy a candidate…..that’s if the media want to do so.
    Palin,
    Bachmann,
    Cain .

It’s the media trying to select the Republican canidate again. They know if Romney or Perry get the nomination it will be a closer race for Obama.

Steyn is giving these scurrilous allegations the scorn they deserve this morning…

I was supporting Cain, but after seeing the candidates debates I believe Gingrich* is my favourite, followed by Paul**.

Cain has an amazing presence of character, and there is probably some role for him somewhere, but this isn’t Pop Idol. Gingrich is the smartest guy on stage, and doesn’t care that everyone else knows it. And frankly the world needs a candidate that doesn’t have to rely on advice from experts like Ben Bernanke, Jim Hansen and David Petraeus.

*If Gingrich is 100% pro life, haven’t looked that up. I know he is divorced and that puts some conservatives off.

** Paul wants to withdraw US troops from around the world? Not losing anywhere and building up a massive, ready army on COTUS sounds much more deterrent than the current strategy of losing everywhere and draining the army of its ability to fight. And its about time the Europeans were told to shape up and look after themselves.

  5. KG says:

Gingrich is unarguably smart, but America has plenty of smart conservative men and women. What’s desperately needed is smart+principled, and in my view Gingrich fails.
    After reading:
“LIBERAL BETRAYAL of AMERICA and the TEA PARTY FIRESTORM How the Student Riots of the Sixties Generated a Civil War to Destroy A Great Nation” by William Davis Eaton…
I’m more than ever convinced that the battle for America–and the rest of the West–has been fought, and won. By the left. All that’s left is a rearguard action by a very few.

Gingrich waffled on Obamacare, when he did that it was enough for me,he disqualified himself right there.Same with Romney for that matter.

  6. The Gantt Guy says:

Eaton’s book certainly opened my eyes to just how complete the Left’s victory now is, and how entrenched their operatives are in the corridors ofmpower. I’m glad you got a similar message from it, KG.

IMHO, Cain remains the right choice. If he can survive the media assassination attempts he will destroy Obama in 2012.

  7. WAKE UP says:

Herman Cain won’t be the first guy to be brought down by a vindictive female nutter and a money-grubbing lawyer.
