the “march through the institutions” is now a mincing, triumphal parade.

‘Sex harassment ‘rife’ in Defence Force Academy
ADFA hit by widespread harassment and warrior culture which makes it tough for women to survive, review finds.
..The review, conducted by Sex Discrimination Commissioner Elizabeth Broderick, was released today…’
Makes it “tough for women to survive”? To which Wabbit can only reply..good!  The rise of women in the armed forces has been nothing but a disaster, contributing to a dilution of the warrior culture and sowing dissent and discord. Women have taken to the “soft power” positions in the military bureaucracy like brainless ducks to water, helping subvert the core mission of an armed force, helping to change the role from war-fighting to “peacekeeping” and “nation building”. The current push to post women to frontline units is nothing to do with equality–because women are not and never will be the equal of men in this area. What it very much has to do with is emasculating the military, by introducing insanely restrictive ROEs, by giving leftist bureaucrats control over what used to be fighting forces. And by injecting the paralysis of mommyism into the body of the military.
The crap in the news report shows just how successful the left’s war on our institutions has been. Read it and weep.

I’d have thought that Srebrenica should have awoken all to the dangers of the PCification of the military.

    But no.

I did a post about it a while back: A tale of two peacekeeping missions

    I despair.
Skpe scandal…..6 separate reviews! No wonder tax payers are overburdened. There’s no common sense left in the world.
Too simlpe….the dumb cow shouln’t have been in barracks screwing in the first place, and the low life screwin her had no place being a cad. If you don’t want sex problems in your establishments then don’t mix the sexes. Same ,even more so on ships!
Warrior spirit ! Can’t have that in the military.
Human rights are one thing but human rights culture is destroying the west.

I was once a young, gorgeous woman(back then!) and nobody’s fool in a world of corporate and other realms of power where I punched above my weight fairly indiscriminately. I chose my liaisons and was never bullied, probably because I did not have the word “victim” tattooed on my forehead. Some colleagues, as ever, were partly sighted and so tried it on, but so what? That’s life. They didn’t do it twice. Harden up women. Feminising the military is madness. There are a few women suited to it but not many. If you don’t approve of warriors or cannot handle sexual tension, that’s OK, stay away. Become a corsetier or beauty therapist or counsellor or something else appropriate to your delicate sensibilities and leave the military to do what is required.

Nicely put. In other words don’t “Come to the nuisance”

Men fight. Women are what they fight for. QED.

I reckon you and Mara “get it” perfectly, Wakey. Sigh…..but there’s not enough like you.

Mixing boys and girls(that’s what we still are at 18y/o)isn’t a good idea especially in the military.
I’m pretty sure it isn’t a very good idea in industry either.I worked with a gal named Sally,23y/o,tall,blond and a magnificent example of the Female form. She got her shirt caught in a box stitching machine one day which removed it completely revealing the fact that she wasn’t wearing a Bra.
Off she went across the plant in all her glory to her locker to fetch another shirt.

In 45seconds a five year perfect safety record was in flames. There were five accidents, two forklift wrecks, one concussion and two lacerations-all of the victims were Male

From our very own Human Rights Commission report on the state of EEO for wimen in New Zealand

The Navy, which has the highest gender ratio of the three armed forces at 23 per cent, tries to reflect society. “You can‟t deny 50 per cent of the
population.” We heard of greater promotion of women in the Navy, but also
the high number of women who become pregnant directly affects deployment into the field

To which I say – no kidding!

You mean to sat you confine young men and young women in the years of their peak fertility together and lots of the women get pregnant.

      Well I never

Andrei, here we have one point of agreement.
