A professional with years of training and vast experience is applying for a job. But the process now involves jumping through hoops invented by office leeches, academics and people who use nursing as an instrument of social change.
We’ve now reached the point where the people who actually do the job have to meet the requirements dreamed up by those who don’t. Requirements which have precious little to do with the job itself and everything to do with parasites justifying their odious existence. A sample (And more of this shit below the fold):

Slightly O/T – I’ve long been unemployable due to my refusal to do psychometric tests. It doesn’t stop me being in demand as a consultant though.
A friend with similar views eventually agreed to do these tests (because he knew he would enjoy the job) on the condition that he never, ever was shown the results. The “HR” people were mystified, but as he was an expert in the field he of course got the job, and on his terms.
BTW, I’m not totally opposed to psychometric testing, I’ve used it in a former life, but once you reach a certain age (and experience/knowledge level) it’s pretty well irrelevant to your performance.
It’s why public hospitals in the 21st century have more management staff than nurses.
Jobs for the girls I guess

Queensland Health can’t possibly be worse than ADHB.
Recently I walked out of a congress when some bereaucrat from NSW Health started rabbiting on about how autonomy was a thing of the past and now we had to stick to guidelines made by academics and health administrators.
They’re the new ruling elite, Mawm, like it or not. They’ll only disappear or be reined in when the money runs out and people realise just how redundant the parasitic bastards are.
