‘The Left’s “morally superior” policies kill millions and impoverish billions.
Soon after I published an article questioning the global-warming orthodoxy, the world’s foremost hypocrite, Al Gore, informed anyone who still listens to him that my position is akin to racism. The wise course of action would be to ignore the rants of a man who desperately needs the world to remain fearful of carbon, the element on which all life on earth is based. If that fear were to vanish, how would he continue to rake in the millions needed for the purchase of his next beach house?
But enough is enough. Why should I sit quietly and let myself be branded a racist? In fact, will someone please explain how the Left is always assumed to have the moral high ground in these kinds of debates? I am particularly curious about this, as leftist policies continue to destroy the lives of tens of millions in this country and billions worldwide.

‘If this is what “winning” looks like, I’d hate to see defeat.
We have to endure invasive, humiliating searches when travelling overseas, our emails and telephone conversations may be monitored by the state without a warrant, criticism of the ideology we’re supposedly fighting renders us liable to prosecution for “hate speech”,while Muslims hold rallies in Western cities with impunity calling for the death of the infidels. The so-called “war” has cost countless billions of dollars and thousands of lives and there’s no end in sight.
We’re waging half a war, a reactive, culturally nervous spasm of resentment while our liberties are chipped away in the name of “security”.
If I were an islamist, I’d count that as a win.’

It occurs to me that they’re like a bunch of Somali thugs riding around in a heavily-armed Japanese pickup–primitive, stupid assholes who rely on things (in the case of leftards, institutions) designed by people much smarter than they will ever be. But chimps in charge are lethal, regardless of who designed their weapons.

Six guards were held hostage for a couple of hours after 500 or more Longshoremen broke down gates about 4:30 a.m. and smashed windows in the guard shack, he said.

But SWAT teams are available for the intimidation of peaceful protesters, for kicking down the doors of private homes and shooting pets and innocent people by “mistake”. Why wasn’t the union hall surrounded and the perps rounded up and arrested? Where’s the video of the riot?
Imagine–if you can–a Tea Party rally getting out of hand with people smashing windows, taking hostages. It would be splashed all over the media, there would be mass arrests and national outrage. The double standard is by now so deeply entrenched that people barely notice it.
