Has Andrew Bolt lost the plot?

A supposedly conservative Australian, commenting on youth violence, concludes with this:
“Fighting back against this violence and social disintegration will be like (and involve more than) paying tax to provide services for the community. It will require a small surrender of some liberties of all for the common good.”
No no no bloody NO! Bolt. It will require finding the perps, bringing them to trial and imposing realistic penalties. What you’re suggesting is nothing less than collective punishment in order to control a tiny thuggish minority. Get stuffed. If you don’t love liberty then shut up and get out of the way. (and you must be blind to irony, calling that post “the dregs of freedom”!)

The enemy within:

‘Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) indicated Thursday that the Republican-controlled House of Representatives that he leads may go ahead and provide the Obama administration with the funding it needs to implement a regulation that earlier this year Boehner himself called “an unambiguous attack on religious freedom in our country.”
At a Capitol Hill press conference on Thursday, Boehner said he believes “resolving” the regulation’s attack on religious liberty may not be something for Congress to deal with because he thinks it may be one of those policy goals that “can sometimes best be done [through] other than legislative avenues.”…’      source
“On religious liberty” my ass. This will facilitate what the muslims who have infiltrated the Administration have been lobbying for: Criminalisation of criticism of their filthy ideology.
It’s difficult to escape the conclusion that senior Republicans are complicit in the lawlessness and thuggery of the government of America.

The Gunrunner-In-Chief speaks:

‘US President Barack Obama vowed to “leave no stone unturned” in seeking to curb violence in American cities, including reasonable restrictions on gun ownership – a sharp break from the position set out earlier in the day by his Republican opponent Mitt Romney.
…Acknowledging sensitivity of the issue, he said Wednesday he believes that even gun owners would agree “that AK-47s belong in the hands of soldiers, not in the hands of children.”
Emotive horseshit–how many “children” in the U.S. own an AK47? Stuff-all, if any. And like the Brady gun-grabbers, this mendacious asshole describes the teenage gang thugs (almost all black) who are shooting one another as “children”.
…”For every Columbine or Virginia Tech, there are dozens gunned down on the streets of Chicago and Atlanta, and here in New Orleans. For every Tucson or Aurora there is daily heartbreak over young Americans shot in Milwaukee or Cleveland,” he said.
Funny, that…Chicago has insanely restrictive gun laws (in violation of the Second Amendment) but blacks are somehow killing each other (and others) in record numbers. This is an argument for more gun controls?

We’re forced to fund the Green marxist front

but the details are kept secret
‘LABOR has moved to shield the Greens from scrutiny by blocking the release of publicly funded costings of policies, in a strategy that has angered some backbenchers.
Since the 2010 election, Wayne Swan has authorised Treasury to calculate the cost of at least a dozen Greens initiatives in line with the party’s agreement to back Julia Gillard’s minority government. But The Australian can reveal Treasury has rejected attempts by the opposition to access the costing documents under Freedom of Information legislation, arguing they were considered by cabinet and were therefore part of the “deliberative process” and exempt from public release…’ (Article is behind a paywall.)

Andrew Bolt on the Greens:

‘..The fact is that the Greens are immoral. It is immoral not to judge your policies by the consequences. It is immoral not to judge your boat people stance by the bodies in the sea. It is immoral not to judge your green bans by the men and women out of work. It is immoral not to judge your global warming policy by the devastated economy and the utter uselessness of that sacrifice.  It is immoral not to judge your economic policies by the fact they would turn Australia into Greece. Indifference, willful blindness, selfish posturing, recklessness, impulsiveness, irresponsibility- all these are moral flaws.’         Andrew Bolt

Media liars:

‘..Today, NBC/WSJ released their latest poll on the presidential contest. They “find” that Obama is leading Romney by 6-points, 49%-43%. They use this finding to opine a great deal about the current state of the presidential campaign. What they don’t report, however, is that their poll sample is way overweighted for Democrats. Their sample is D+11, 46% Democrat, 35% Republican–a level we haven’t seen in the electorate since the post-Watergate GOP meltdown…’        Breitbart
