I smell a rat.

Irish bombs return to Britain: Explosive devices sent to four Army recruitment offices linked to Ulster terrorism, says No10
….One of the suspect packages had a Republic of Ireland postmark on it
…Police officers found ‘basic but viable’ devices, but consider them a ‘low-level threat’, sources said.
Prime Minister David Cameron chaired a meeting of the Government’s Cobra emergencies committee to discuss the suspicious parcels, which sources said were ‘crude’ in design but ‘could have caused injury to others’…’
Not buying it. These days the IRA has better things to do, better things such as drugs, protection rackets and prostitution. The Irish postmark is almost laughable–we’re talking about some of the most expert terrorists in the world here. And four “crude devices”, none of which exploded? No telephoned warning?
Further, given that there’s now a very significant muslim population in Ireland, there’s widespread muslim anger at Britain’s involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan and the bombs were sent to Army recruiting offices, so why the instant IRA connection?
Nope, this smells. Every security scare strengthens the hand of a government which already has enormous powers where terrorism and suspected terrorism are concerned, and what’s more the government is under extreme pressure. (witness their defeat in the last few days in a by-election at the hands of UKIP and the widespread anger at Cameron’s failure to control immigration and deliver the promised EU referendum).
If ever a government had motives to concoct a security scare, this one has.

“Awful”? No, she was very restrained.

And behaving as a parent should.
Mum posts awful RSVP note to party hosted by gay dads
The note reads:
“Tommy will NOT attend. I do not believe in what you do and will not subject my innocent son to your ‘lifestyle’. I’m sorry Sophia has to grow up this way. If you have an issue or need to speak to me: [number erased].”…’
Well done, that mother. Now let the hate begin……
UPDATE:  It was a hoax  (Thanks, Liannth)

Where the EUSSR goes, we will follow:

‘Europe Considers Wholesale Savings Confiscation, Enforced Redistribution
…… So as Europe finally admits that the ECB has failed to unclog its broken monetary pipelines for the past five years – something we highlight every month (most recently in No Waking From Draghi’s Monetary Nightmare: Eurozone Credit Creation Tumbles To New All Time Low), the commissions report finally admits that “the economic and financial crisis has impaired the ability of the financial sector to channel funds to the real economy, in particular long-term investment.”
The solution? “The Commission will ask the bloc’s insurance watchdog in the second half of this year for advice on a possible draft law “to mobilize more personal pension savings for long-term financing”, the document said.”
Mobilize, once again, is a more palatable word than, say, confiscate….’

The Latest Woodpile Report is up

and it’s a beauty.
‘..Voters aren’t innocents, they know they’re co-conspirators in a criminal enterprise. There is but one legal strategy remaining to honest Americans. Withhold your vote. Withhold your vote and you withhold consent. Withhold your consent and you withhold legitimacy. The surest route to change is empty voting booths. Stay home on election day. Not only is it your civic duty, you aren’t really missing anything. Your vote counts for nothing and it changes nothing. If it did it would be illegal. How has voting worked for you so far?…’
