    Beer does that to horizons.

      The voice of experience…
Gecko wanted to straighten it–she’s used to covering up my mistakes–but it hardly seemed worth it.

Well, it really depends on whether it is the last beer of the night or the first beer of the morning. Either way, place a beer in each hand for better balance.

Mmmmmm……… beer with bacon and eggs fried over a wood fire.

For a change of pace, to get me over my jealousy at both the beer and the sunrise, I thought I’d share this…

The Mail Online has just done a ‘he-said/she-said’ where several people who were around in Thatcher’s day get to review the Meryl Streep movie. It looks to be as expected; a once-over-lightly of the Great Lady by leftist hollywood. That said, I’ll definitely take the time to see it.

Anyway, the best line in the article is this:

“But the story it tells is so powerful, true, and important that it will primarily benefit Margaret Thatcher’s reputation as the greatest British peacetime Prime Minister of the 20th century.

Who knows? It may even lend some iron to her successor, the current Tory Prime Minister.”

    Pure gold, and so true.

Those of us who know history, rather than the pasteurized, homogenised distortions of it will be able to fill in the gaps when watching the movie, Gantt.

 Horrendous deluge, am worried if my Monarchs will survive. Decisions, decisions, do I have Moet et Chandon with orange juice for breakfast? (it’s my birthday) There won’t be a hot sunrise but I can clink my champagne glass to your beer glass as I watch the rain drowning Nelson

  5. KG says:

Happy birthday, Medusa! Pity it’s such a wet one. I had a look at your rain on the radar and it sure looks pretty severe.
