  1. …well the upside is; if they maintain this rate of productivity, it won’t be long before we’ll get “our” coastline back!

  2. Your headline had me curious. I expected it would be about the bro who filched $21million from the Queensland taxpayer. The first two words of your headline are sufficient.

    • Also from your link, KG:

“The teenager, who cannot be identified, appeared before Judge Carrie Wainwright in Wellington District Court this afternoon alongside his co-accused, Nicho Waipuka, 19.”

When I heard the name of the 19 year old co-accused – Nicho Waipuka – and that the unnamed 17 year old was described as some grandmother’s “mokopuna” I must say I was absolutely stunned! Stunned I tell you.

We all know that Maori are the most law abiding and peaceful minority within New Zealand society; that they make up the lowest number per head capita of our prison population; that they never rape or murder visiting tourists; never beat or murder their kids … and most certainly NEVER murder defenceless [white] men walking home after a nightshift.

This is obviously just a statistical blip – and I’m sure John “bringing-racial-harmony-to-NZ” Key will back me up on this [sarc].

  3. In today’s NZ Herald , under the headline “Kahui challenges twin report”, Chris Kahui, the accused father of the murdered Kahui twins is reported as challenging the coroner’s findings. What I find intriguing about this is that Kahui’s responses during the investigation were so moronic and monosyllabic (though also rat-cunning) that I doubt that he’d even know how to go about this “challenge” to the findings (which apparently aren’t that complimentary about him).
Sure enough, here’s a paragraph further on: “His lawyers Lorraine Smith and Michele Wilkinson-Smith have engaged Rodney Harrison QC to represent their client”. There’s a bunch of expensive heavy hitters. Who’s paying for all this?
