  1. Of course it is the most important job in New Zealand. The Euro can collapse and the US slide into bankruptcy, but so long as the All Blacks win their games all is well with New Zealand.

  2. The world is sliding into an economic, social and cultural abyss.

    But back around the parish pump in little old NZ, all attention is on the Great God Rugby opening its fly, pulling it out and pumping its mumble-grunt fist.

    Ironic since this took place on International Get Some Bloody Perspective Day.

  3. Well, sport is an opiate for the masses, and it keeps the masses from actually recognising realities. Throw in booze, lotto and sex and the average guy’s life is replete without the need to ponder/conceptualise etc..
