The benevolent left:

‘According to Democrats, we Republicans are greedy because we’re in favour of low taxes and limited government. We think you should surrender as little of your freedom to the government as possible and you should be entitled to keep as much of your money as you possibly can. We think you’re entitled to the rewards of your own work. We also think you know how to spend your own money better than the government, which wants to take as much of it as possible. So, as you can clearly see, we Republicans – who don’t want your money – are greedy, and the people who do want to take all of your money, the Democrats, are benign and generous. Just ask them…’

I find myself watching more and more PJTV these days. Whittle, Klavan, Alfonzo Rachel, Joe Hicks and Steve Green vs the likes of Stephanopoulos, Matthews (or any of the leftist ‘mainstream’ commentators from Aus)? No contest really.

I’ve also found (thanks to Alfonzo) a Conservative alternative to that leftist wimmins show The View. It’s called Politichicks (politichicks.tv). It isn’t as polished as mainstream tv but then it doesn’t have multi-million dollar budgets either.

And thanks to politichicks I have found a movie called Runaway Slave, which AFAIK is only playing in the US right now, but which I will be keeping a keen eye out for here in the south.

Neither does it have Puki Goldberg.

“You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”

These Aggressives really are fucked in the head aren’t they?

Yep. If ‘progressivism’ isn’t a mental disease, I’d like to know in what way it differs from one.

  4. Flashman says:

It’s clear there’s no practical difference between the two US political parties. Neither are prepared to grasp the nettles so evidently hanging over that country:
    1. Overinflated heavy control govt.
    2. A Byzantine tax system.
    3. A military establishment geared to unwanted and unwinnable wars.
    4. Affirmative action.
    5. An education system that isn’t.
    6. A 1960 Mad Men concept of global empire.
    7. The active dissuasion of the business enterprise that made the US and which is its fundamental bedrock.
    8. Fatuous embrace of absurd “green technology” chimera.
    9. Welfare dependence – an aggressive, invasive cancer.
    10. An imperial, one-man presidency that was tolerable for a well balanced Augustus or Vespasian or but ground zero for a Nero or Elagabalus.

I can’t understand why anyone would bother voting.
