Flannery…. serial bullshitter

‘FIVE years ago, Climate Commissioner Tim Flannery predicted that the nation’s dams would never be full again and major Australian cities would need desalination plants to cater for our water needs.
Yesterday, in his latest report, he said “climate change cannot be ruled out” as a factor in recent flooding rains, which led to some of those dams overflowing.
….Professor Flannery was quizzed at a press conference to launch the report yesterday on whether people would believe the latest round of predictions or if he thought some of his past predictions about rainfall and dams had been wrong.
“I’ve been really consistent with what I’ve said, which is that we’ve got a water problem in this country,” he said.
“It’s a land of drought and flooding rains. Just because we’ve had a few wet years doesn’t mean that the problem is solved.”   ‘Slippery when wet’
Just this short extract contains evasions, bordering on outright lies. This man (who has zero qualifications as a climate scientist) has made himself wealthy peddling this kind of garbage. And he bought himself a waterfront house while stoking the alarmist nonsense which may see ordinary Aussies evicted from their waterfront properties.

And for a snapshot of the sheer absurdity of Juliar’s carbon tax:

This reminds me of the Mayan priests.Every type of climatic or celestial condition could be explained by or attributed to the Mayan gods. And of course to appease these gods the people had to sacrifice everything from their food to their very lives and of course how much and what type of appeasement was determined by the Priests. These priests of course lived in luxury which was derived by their status. They even had the power to overrule Kings.

Of course all these “signs and wonders”had natural explanations behind them. Then as now the climate and the heavens behave in tune with the physical laws of the universe. But the Mayan people had no knowledge of these things, they were not stupid people, they simply didn’t have as much time to study the world around them, then as now they were too busy working to seek out their daily existence. So they left the explanation of these events to the priests the ones who had a reason for everything most of which allowed the priests more power over the people.

So when we see climate science today what we are really seeing is a turning away from science and a return to mysticism and superstition controlled by priests who have invented their own god.

  3. I saw tim and his friends on the evening news the other day, telling us we’re all going to die etc. This didn’t surprise me in the least, what did surprise me was that the news report also included a few lines from skeptics telling us these fools are just pushing a barrow full of horseshit.

In the past we wouldn’t have heard from the skeptics, so things are changing. Thank heavens for the likes of Andrew Bolt in exposing these snake oil peddlers for what they really are.
