the NZ Herald–dealing in lies and propaganda

‘Eligibility rules bar millions of voters in US’
This article in this morning’s Herald, by someone called Peter Huck,  is packed with half-truths, omissions, distortions and flat-out lies. Pretty much standard Herald fare, then.
Update: For a dose of truth and commonsense, try the latest Woodpile Report

  1. Good Lord, that was a shocker.
No sign of any balance at all.

      @ Fairfacts Media:

I am shocked – YES, SHOCKED  – when any Leftist newspaper anywhere in the world tells the truth.

Here in the States, Rush Limbaugh calls fair, objective and fact based articles in the Big Leftard Media, “Random acts of journalism.”

It is interesting to note that on any given day, The Drudge Report – the premier American conservative website – frequently links to these objective articles.

  2. The Gantt Guy says:

It seems he’s a transplanted American “liberal” in the Soledad O’Brien mould (or, given he once wrote an article for The Guardian UK questioning whether sewage from New Zealand could be used as biofuel, should that be “mould”?).

Problem is, there’s nobody here to call these scum on their bias. There’s no Levin, or Hannity, or John Sununu, so the assholes get away with it.

  3. The Gantt Guy says:

National Review also has some truthiness about the level of voter fraud in Pennsylvania.

If that is replicated across the nation, it’s no wonder Mark Levin is saying it isn’t good enough just to win, the Republicans will need a 10-15% buffer to counter the voter fraud machine that is the modern Democratic Party.

      @Guy:

Unfortunately, there is no support for “The Ronbo Amendment” to the U.S. Constitution:

      1. Women would not be allowed to vote.

      2. Males would not be allowed to vote unless they served with honor for six years in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, National Guard, or in various state and local police/fire departments.

      3. No federal political office could be held more than two terms. However, the next higher level of office would be open. For example, a Congressman after two terms could run for the Senate. A Senator after two terms could run for the presidency. The military called this policy, “Up or out” to end the problem of “career corporals” and “nasty captains” who hit the feather bed and the bottle when they realized the military gave them “three hots and a cot.”

      4. All federal judges are to be elected. The Supreme Court judges limited to two six year terms and no return to a lower bench.

      5. Pay scales at all political offices to be determined by the voters.

  4. Darin says:

The “assumed facts” in that article are pretty easy to pick apart.
#1 Who is to say what the political leanings of the poll workers who turned the two women away are? It’s possible highly likely they are registered Democrats.

#2 Vote fraud is seldom ever prosecuted, just because it isn’t prosecuted doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. The courts are so clogged with higher priorities and liberal judges that little if any attention is paid to a vote fraud claim.

#3 The majority of states have voter ID laws already on the books. The irony here is that by the DOJ and ACLU filing suit in the most recent states to pass legislation will result in many voters not having ID by election day.Of course this is on purpose.

#4 That 11% of the population that don’t have ID are mostly illegal aliens and mentally insane who aren’t supposed to be voting anyway.

#5 Almost every state has affidavit ballots, they are filled out by people who don’t have ID or have incomplete information etc. They can cast vote like anybody else, but the information they entered on the affidavit ballot will be checked later and either approved or thrown out if it’s found to be fraudulent.

There is no impediment to voting in the US,like many things it is figment of the Lefty’s imagination

A year ago I moved to Seattle and changed my driver’s license over Washington state.

I was hardly home before a letter arrived from the election office and told me I was now a newly minted voter!

Yes, Washington state has motor-voter: I don’t what the connection is between driving and voting, but the Leftard elites that rule the Pacific coast states of California, Oregon and Washington think this is just peachy keen. I mean I could be a convicted felon from another state with no right to vote!

Also, the Grand & Glorious One Party (Democrat, Socialist, Communist – take your pick) state of Washington takes the matter one step further and mails your ballot to you! Gee, you don’t have to go to the polling station on election day. (I wonder how many these unmarked ballots go to the Washington State Prison or to people long since deceased?

“Honey, here is my late granny’s ballot, do you want to vote again?”

“No dearest, I have my poor dead old dad’s ballot – I know he’d want me to vote a straight Democrat ticket.”

“Actually, it doesn’t matter! This family has never voted Republican.”

And people wonder why this is a One Party State.
