On a related note, I had a chance today to review some of the most recent mass murders – and occasions when such murders where stopped. The common threads, the police were wholly ineffective and those who put their trust in government paid the ultimate price:

    1. Sandy Hook Elementary School was a “gun free zone” where the teachers and staff were prevented by law from carrying concealed weapons. Once the shooter gained access to the school, police were notified. It took police twenty minutes to arrive, during which time the shooter killed 26 children and teachers.

    2. In Texas, two men attempted a home invasion. Inside the home were a teen age boy and his young sister. The boy retrieved his father’s AR15 and proceeded to shoot the criminals, protecting his life and the life of his sister. Police arrived in time to take the suspects to the hospital.

    3. In Georgia, a home invasion ended when a woman, defending herself and her two small children, shot her assailant five times. Police arrived in time to take the suspect to the hospital.

    4. In Texas, during the Luby Cafeteria Massacre that claimed the lives of 23 people, a woman who left her weapon in her car in order to comply with Texas gun control laws at the time testified that she could easily have stopped the massacre had she had her weapon in her purse.

    5. In Connecticut, during a home invasion by two men, the husband, Dr. Petit, was beaten and put into the basement. There were no guns available to Petit or his family. Over the next seven plus hours, Dr. Petit’s wife was strangled and their two daughters, one 11, the other 17, were tied to their beds and raped. Near the end of the ordeal, Dr. Petit was able to free himself and went to his neighbor’s house to call the police. The police arrived, set up a perimeter, then stood in place for nearly half an hour, waiting for more back up. During that half hour, the criminals poured gasoline over the two daughters – both still alive – then set them on fire.

There is a lot that our agenda driven journalists don’t bother to report.

Absolutely, GW. The cumulative effect of all this is that I now have zero respect for the law. I’ll obey it when I think it’s reasonable, break it when I don’t.
And God help anybody who breaks into my home.

  3. Darin says:

GW,that’s all true, however you are missing the big picture. They could care less about any victims of crime.Dead victims are used to push the agenda, they are nothing more than tools or “statistics”to quote Stalin.
Tools that allow them to enact more Draconian laws and increase control over us peasants.I don’t doubt for one minute that they know banning guns will result in a massive increase in violent crime, but that is exactly what they want. They want total anarchy in the streets, they want the bodies to stack up,that induces fear in the public and fear is used to manipulate.
A terrified, unarmed public will give them whatever they want and what they want is ever increasing control of the individual. They want and are quickly achieving turning the US into a massive concentration camp.Just look to the UK to see the first step further down that path.Twice the number of violent assaults, twice the number of rapes and a hundred times the number of CCTV surveillance cameras on every street corner.

      Caveats:
      (1) I don’t agree with everything Governor Ventura presents in this fillim – it’s been *very* selectively edited
      (2) I effing-well *hate* the presentation style
      (3) Alex Jones is bonkers – funded by Russia Today – Communist Dictator Putin’s very own Pravda.

I actually don’t believe anything in that video simply because there is no need for it.We have proven to be self-enslaving so why bother with the heavy tactics the video speaks to?
We have traffic cams,CCTV cams,ATM cams on and on.Our money is steadily being shifted to electronic transfers only.We only have three days of food on the store shelves and most people can’t plan ahead more than a few hours.
They teach our kids crap, they dictate what jobs we have, how much we can make, how much we can keep and how much more they want.
All that’s missing are the fences.

Fitting with the title selective reporting, notice how this news story doesn’t mention the race of those involved in the fight-

I just found this article in the Sydney Daily Telegraph today:

    http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/old-man-had-five-rifles-in-home-on-carrington-avenue-mosman/story-e6freuy9-1226549254412

As an ex-cop myself I find it laughable that the police were “shocked” to find rifles and, oh, the humanity, an AIR RIFLE in a Sydney home. They were shocked, I tell you, traumatised to their very marrow I presume. Hopefully some counselling was in order. Luckily, these law enforcement legends weren’t around in the 1940’s then. Rifles were commonplace in Australian homes, and I once read that Japan had to factor into her invasion plans for Australia the knowledge that a large number of households had access to rifles. My Dad, also an ex-copper, had two .22’s that he kept in his wardrobe, and I recall one time when I was a little boy he dispatched a snake in the back yard with one.

    • KG says:

Hell yes, Phil. As a kid in Adelaide, I remember picking up a new .22 from a gun shop in Rundle st. and walking to the railway station with it (not in a bag) and when I got off the train at my destination, a cop pulled over and offered me a lift home. (it was a stinking hot SA summer day).
The same cop was ready enough to give any yoofs acting up a clip around the ear, though.
      Happy (and saner) days.

  6. Darin says:

Only five Rifles? I can’t even remember when I had only five rifles.
