      • Shame we couldn’t send you some of ours,it’s been overcast, raining and misty for three solid weeks here.Just cleared up a little yesterday but the ground is rotten saturated right now.

          • No,not enough snow or rain up north yet. They did dredge the channel deeper to keep it open longer.

  4. Oh no! Two guys fighting one fish is a BIG no-no where I come from. Almost as bad as fighting a billfish using the engines of a game boat.
Real fisherman make it 1:1 and if they lose, so be it.

      • *shrug* so why not simply run the line around a winch drum and winch the damn fish in, if safety is so important?
It’s either sporting or it’s not–the fact that he doesn’t know how to handline is no excuse.

        • By safety I mean”keeping the goofy tourist from getting himself drowned so his family doesn’t end up owning the boat”
Like a boat captain once told me”some idiot reaches for a Barracuda and comes back with less fingers there go the insurance rates right through the roof”

          • Fair enough, can’t argue with that.
Damn lawyers again……it’d be interesting to try and analyze one day just how much lawyers have degraded personal freedom.

            • That is one of the single biggest problems we have in the States. We are one of if not the most litigious countries in the world.
It’s wrecked health care, manufacturing, marriages you name it.

Oh and the fact that most of our politicians are lawyers about says it all.
