  2. My comment over there-it is not showing–so–I loved the historical take–as to the Marcel reference -US an empire –in comment section–US is not an empire!!!
    my comment:
Thank you- HIStory written like poetry-

as to Marcel’s comment- if the US were an ’empire’ we would OWN -Japan-Korea-Germany-and et al..

As it is- our BEST are EVERYWHERE – defending others- and are the line in Korea-(we know that they are ‘fodder’)

We want our BEST out of the mid East-Korea-Germany and et al—

    as to bho-well>>>>>

    • Andrew Berwick says:

But the US does “own” Japan, South Korea and Germany.

Owns, and has militarily occupied each of those countries for the past 70 odd years (OK 60 for South Korea).

      • KG says:

        Occupied??
They’ve been there with the approval of the governments of those countries for at least the last forty years.
In the case of Germany, as part of NATO, at enormous expense to the U.S. taxpayer saving the Europeans from taking responsibility and footing the bill for their own defence.

  3. Brown says:

God isn’t talking about Israel and this world. He’s talking about his heavenly kingdom and those he has elected to be saved through his Son. Today, just as in those days, most don’t see because it takes the Gospel of Christ to open our eyes.

  4. KG says:

I’m not really interested in the religious aspect–it’s just a fine piece of writing.

  5. KG says:

    And amazingly prolific.
