Soft touch Australia.

Provided you’re not a white European, that is.
‘..The people smuggling business started in the Middle East and Pakistan, but then moved to attract customers in northern Africa.
Now Vietnamese entrepreneurs have heard Australia under Labor is open for exploitation:
The latest boat, carrying 84 people, sailed directly from Vietnam, where there has been no conflict for 30 years.
Already this year, 759 Vietnamese boat people have come to Australia – the largest group to turn up since just after the Vietnam War – and more than four times the total number that has arrived in the three previous years…’
Andrew Bolt
No mention of this in the MSM, of course. This government has failed in what is perhaps their most basic duty–to secure the border. Clearly, these Vietnamese people are not refugees and the usual excuse of being bound by U.N. “obligations” towards refugees cannot apply. So why have they not been returned immediately to Vietnam?

There can be legitimate Vietnamese refugees, in theory. Sometimes the authorities burn down the crops and villages of Christians there. I don’t know if any of them flee the country though.

Well, in theory, Ross there can be refugees from just about every country on earth since persecution takes so many different forms.
What are we supposed to do, fix the bloody world’s problems–at our expense–by taking all of them in?
And even if we could do that, how then are the problems in the countries they are leaving ever going to be fixed?
These people are not “refugees”–they’re illegal immigrants, entering the country for economic reasons.
And we cannot afford them, don’t want them and don’t want our societies changed into something none of us ever had a say in.

  2. KG says:

Further, if people are being persecuted on religious grounds, then how about those who work so hard to convert people to Christianity take some effing responsibility for the downside of their proselytizing?

  3. mistress mara says:

Ross, there can be legitimate Scandinavian refugees, in theory also. Their winters are damm dearly unendurable and some of them go mental through lack of sunshine, particularly those who originated in middle-eastern countries. And then there’s Iceland ……….

  4. simpleton says:

Would rather for all the effort and military expenditure and loss of life to have an expanded enclave, green zone, that will take the refugees in their own country. There they will have to develop their own economy, industry, taxes, education, health and evenutally their own security, etc.

Any problem or trouble makers, then kicked out back to their country side with no hesitation.

If this can not be done then take none in.

Damn good idea. Just so long as the ones who are oppressing them are made to foot the bill. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif

  5. Findalis says:

The good thing about Vietnamese refugees is that they are clean, hardworking, and make good citizens. They don’t wish to change the nation to suit their religion. Here is a unique idea:

Get rid of the Muslims and substitute Vietnamese refugees instead.

This sort of bastardry will continue until we wake up to the rabble of lying, deceitful rabble that is labor. Unfortunately enough of us simply want to remain stubbornly stupid to their real intentions.
