“To serve and protect”?

Yeah, riight…
‘One of the questions to emerge out of last night’s unrest in Oakland, where crowds protesting the George Zimmerman verdict turned violent and seized control of a major street for three hours, is why police withdrew from the area and allowed drivers to be terrorized.
…Oakland police officers that had been near the corner retreated, leaving the helpless drivers without police protection. It’s unclear who gave that command…’
Appeasement of thugs and bullying of patriots–it’s the new policing model.

“This is what America has come to under Obama—a banana republic, replete with government-orchestrated mobs, political prisoners, and show trials.”

If I recall correctly, after the Rodney King riots (or was it after an earlier L.A. riot?), there was a court case of some sort and so-called legal precedent was set that the police are NOT there to protect you; rather they are there to “keep the peace”. Thus they get to decide in any given situation whether keeping the peace means protecting the innocent or allowing the rampaging barbarians to run wild. nice gig they got going there where they get to call the shots, literally.

btw, for the record, I was born in Long Beach (in L.A. county) and raised in Carson (also in L.A. County and the city due south of Compton. Nasty, violent, every bad thing you can imagine about a place overrun with leftists.

  3. KG says:

Kirly! Good to see you.
“Nasty, violent, every bad thing you can imagine about a place overrun with leftists.”
You’d think the penny would have dropped by now, wouldn’t you? Every socialist “paradise” is the same. But the useful idiots who push leftism don’t have to live in the areas blighted by their foul ideology, so they don’t give a damn.

    • Kirly says:

isn’t that just so sad and unfair? they “rule” these places, create their leftwing paradise in L.A. and some of the poorer suburbs like where I grew up (Carson, Compton, etc) and then they live in Palos Verdes Estates or Rancho Palos Verdes. Damn hypocrits. And the stupid people who can’t see what is right before their eyes! so frustrating!

  4. Darin says:

Oaklands mayor is a devout lefty and by extension so is much of the city’s core leadership. No doubt they were egging on the riot and allowing it to grow in hopes of something bigger.

Hmmmm…….. withdraw the police and hope that some intimidated and frightened man pulls out a gun and uses it. You see……… white people hate blacks. ….and their rampage that follows, well, justifies the heavy-handed clamp down by police on gun ownership and the imposition of martial law. QED.

It looks like a 1968 rerun in America…

Some Black Racist/White Communist crap scheduled for Seattle today at high noon – and I wondering if it’s going to be the traditional May Day “break out the glass downtown” or something more violent :?:

Fortunately Seattle has a small black community, so the barbarians will be thin on the ground, but I suppose the Left can ship in the “rent a mob” from Oakland, California and other places south.

  6. Oswald Bastable says:

‘Punish and enslave’ would be more like it! (yes , I have seen the ‘Transformers’ movie :-)

    • KG says:

No indeed. There are plenty of good ones. It’s just a pity that thugs and thickos act in the name of all black people.

      • Ronbo says:

        @KG:

Over the years I’ve met a number of patriot blacks who detest the Left and the race baiting poverty pimps – but like this black guy who was a naval officer stationed in San Diego, California told when I asked why he didn’t speak up,

The Brothers would call me Uncle Tom and harass the crap out of me. Been there, done that at So. Calif when I was in college. It is no fun. So I just keep my political beliefs quiet and share them only with white conservatives like yourself. Hellva a way to live in an alleged free country. But it is what it is. I vote Republican for whatever good that does.”

  7. Mathew says:

Very worrying what America has turned into, every American had better ask themselves, how far exactly are they away from being some African banana republic where the dictator decides who gets punished and who doesn’t.

When the government of the United States under the direction of the president goes after an innocent man, you’re not far from secret police and ‘troublesome’ people simply disappearing in the middle of the night.

Perhaps the totalitarians think that most Americans are far too stupid to see the implications. Let’s hope they’re wrong, I’m not putting any money on it though.
