The disaster in waiting for the Affordable Care Act. This law will go down in history as the ultimate example of ideology running roughshod over common sense and logical thinking.

      @Nelson:

Of course, Obamacare is a disaster – IT WAS DESIGNED TO BE A TRAIN WRECK :!:

The real deal is that Obama and his zombie Progressive DemocRATS have lusted after socialized (one payer) medicine in the USA for nearly 100 years; however, the major roadblock in this socialist wet dream was the fact America has the best health care system in the world.

Therefore, to enact socialized medicine you must first DESTROY private health care – and this is what Obamacare is all about.

Think of Obamacare as a very selective nuclear radiation bomb that kills the private medical system, but leaves the buildings intact.

When the job is done and old system is wrecked beyond repair, what then :?:

Obama and the DemocRATS ride to the rescue with socialized medicine.

We’ll I’m not so sure that the US has the best medical system in the world. It really depends on how and what you measure. For instance the US has a higher maternal mortality rate than almost every European country, in fact it lies 41st out of 171 countries that measure their results and is equal with Bosnia. That is quite shocking for a developed country. On the other hand America has some of the most advanced equipment and techniques available to them and are at the forefront of research – but then again lags behind the European nations on others. Your FDA often prevents many new drugs from being used for years after successful introduction elsewhere. Availability of services such as hip replacement surgery in the US is immediate – if you can pay for it, there are waiting lists in theUK’s NHS but if you can afford private care there is an immediate service provided by those who work privately.

I’m not promoting a single payer system – I have worked in private and in public health care and the most striking thing to me is the efficiency of private health care compared to public.

What’s not to like about the Abbott government.

…….Australia “will not support any measures which are socialism masquerading as environmentalism”.

Not only is the Australian government not sending anyone to the latest climate shenanigan, while the Warsaw conference is taking place the Environ Minister Greg Hunt will be introducing legislation repealing the carbon tax.

Problem here…the projectiles were seating in the cases just fine yesterday, today I tried seating them in an empty case (I want some empty bullets) and the damn things just drop into the case.
Same setting on the die. What am I doing wrong?

        • Darin says:

Cases expand and stretch when the cartridge is fired. The Brass also gets harder when this happens. You’ may have to anneal the cases before resizing.

Poor mans method is to stand the cases on their base, coat the top 1/3 of them with a thin coat of spray paint.Let the paint dry, using a propane or MAP torch slowly heat the cases until the paint ashes off, then quickly quench them by dunking the lot in water.

At that point the cases will be dead soft and ready for triming and resizing as needed after cleaning.

RCBS has a good step by step on reloading, but don’t remember if it touches on annealing or not-

Aha! Thanks, Darin. I just talked to my friend who is a pro ‘roo shooter, who reloads a lot of ammo. He tells me the die which punches out the caps is the one which resizes the case, and I was stopping pulling the handle on the press as soon as the primer popped out instead of pulling it all the way down, so the cases weren’t resizing.
I assumed the bullet die did the resizing.. Duh!
