Oh no! Not the leaping sea snails!

THE effects of climate change could hinder sea snails’ extraordinary ability to leap away from predators on one foot, Queensland researchers have found.
The study shows conch snails, found in sandy areas off coral reefs, find it difficult to make the quick decision to jump out of reach of prey when exposed to higher levels of carbon dioxide….’
Who is funding this garbage? And doesn’t this researcher have something useful to do with her bloody life?
If it’s taxpayer’s money, all I can say is that a thief will some cojones and fewer pretensions would simply rob a bank.  Researchers churning out garbage in order to support  an agenda such as this– using taxpayer’s money– makes them no less thieves in my view.
And why do the clowns at this newspaper consider this tripe to be newsworthy?

    Who is funding this garbage?

    We are

  2. Of course it is the TAXPAYERS–
OK-I know- your question was rhetorical-right!?

I’ve been tweeting variations of this line at each CAGW related story in the hopes that many others begin to repeat its essence.

Marginalize the marginalizers. Rent seekers co-opting science to coerce consensus via expulsion are NOT scientists

Repeat this sort of message until there will be no place these clowns go where their audience has not heard it. Pile the ridicule high enough and even the brainless rent seekers will look for safer pickings. Help bring sanity and adults back to proper prominence.

Germany plans to wean itself off CO2-belching coal-fired power stations. But new figures show that coal power output in 2013 reached its highest level in more than 20 years. Researchers blame cheap CO2 emissions permits, and demand urgent reforms.

So what, when was the last time any of us lay awake at night thinking about this leaping snail. Besides so what if carbon dioxide affects its reactions to predators.

Where’s the evidence that we’re the ones screwing it over and what are we supposed to do about it if it really is us. Besides last i checked we did do something profoundly stupid by imposing a tax on ourselves, so did that save any leaping snails, no.

Moving on from this waste of space.

    “Leaping sea-snails” ay?

Tell the Aussie Air Force where they are. A few airstrikes with napalm should clean them out…..
