NZ next?

People smugglers in Indonesia are mounting their first credible attempt to ship asylum seekers on the hazardous voyage to New Zealand and circumvent the Abbott government’s Operation Sovereign Borders.
Mr Saiful said the smugglers had told them that it was easier to be accepted in New Zealand than Australia.
“Everyone is talking New Zealand. There is every facility … Jafar said you go to New Zealand [and after] only one month and you can take citizenship, and after that you can try [to go to] a big country, every other country…’
These people are not asylum seekers, they’re invaders and the only thing that will dent their massive sense of entitlement is an effing torpedo.

 NZ could hire a diesel sub pretty cheap from that nice Mr. Putin and chalk it up to bilateral trade. Hell, this thing could provide as big an economic boost as rebuilding C..
never mind. I detect a flaw.
Back to the logjam idea, Steve.

I see that they are all armed with UNHCR asylum seeker certificates. It must be a lucrative business issuing them.

But never fear NZ the government “has passed relatively tough new laws in case of this development. Anyone coming as part of a mass arrival can be detained until their circumstances are assessed.” See that will keep them away.

      Well of course it will!
Any fool can see that being comfortably housed while (taxpayer funded) lawyers argue their case in front of sympathetic liberal clowns on various tribunals would be a deterrent.
Not to mention the fortnightly income (courtesy of the NZ taxpayer), clothing(ditto) medical care(ditto) free legal advice(ditto)…….and the inevitable grovelling, fawning interviews in the leftard media.
      It’ll be hell.

The Ahmed Zaoui fiasco of ten years ago was bad enough. A guy twice booted out of Europe and sent packing to Burkina Faso for his association with terrorist groups, he destroys his passport en-route to NZ and is immediately celebrated in the media as a martyr and a peacemaker. Has-been musicians even wrote songs celebrating him.

Well within a year, I expect to see more of them loading trolleys at supermarkets and fly-blown “ethnic” speciality stores in Mt Albert; courtesy of NZ taxpayers. We don’t have a Tony Abbott here.

    Agreed.
