‘The angry white men and their guns
AMERICANS are “living in pixie land” when it comes to gun control, an Australian forensic psychologist has said. And he predicts more lives will be lost at the hands of “angry white males”.
No mention of the apparently trivial fact that most gun murders by far are committed by young black men.

    So, here’s the thing this POS – and every other leftist POS from Bloomberg to Piers Morgan – fail to understand. America, unlike almost every other country on earth, is a nation governed by the Rule of Law. It is not a Parliamentary Dictatorship like, say, New Zealand (or Australia or England), where the government can do any damned thing it pleases. It has a founding document which articulates the limits of governmental authority.

    The founders, being the forward-thinking intelligent men they were, embedded processes for making changes. I’ve taken a look and as far as I can tell, “whingeing and crying all over the mainstream press”, which seems to be the method most gun-control weenies are adopting, doesn’t seem to feature.

    If they want to change the Constitution, specifically the Second Amendment thereto, they need to follow the processes laid down in Article V. They need either the Congress with a two-thirds majority vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate or by a constitutional convention called for by two-thirds of the State legislatures.

    Good luck with that.

      I wish that were the case. Unfortunately, too many Constitutional rights have been “interpreted” away by the SCOTUS. Bring in one more leftist on the court and what is now an “individual right” will become a collective right and the “militia” will be the state controlled National Guard.

        Exactly K2,the Constitution would have to be 30,000,000 pages to defeat all the liberal mental gymnastics that have been read into it.

        Dred Scott v Sanford and Roe v Wade just being two examples.

    GG, there is a push for a convention at the moment by conservatives to get an amendment for a balanced budget (and hopefully a repeal of the 17th). There have been warnings that the left could hijack it to further deplete the true rights of the citizens.

    Add: The vast majority of US gun murders are committed by inner city youths living in areas that have strict gun control, comparable to British, German or Australian gun laws. I had a black engineer friend who was a big gun control advocate. One day she mentioned that if she got threatened that she would get a gun to defend herself. I asked her how she would get a gun if the gun elimination she advocated was in force. Her response, which floored me, was that she’d just go down to the local pusher in her neighborhood and buy an illegal gun. :roll:

    We Australians have no right to lecture Americans on how they conduct their business, we have plenty of shit to clean up in our own back yard first before we waddle off to tell other people how they should conduct their lives.

    One thing i shall say about this ‘angry white males’ thing being pushed, they shouldn’t push that line too much thinking it’s alright to smear whites because it’ll lead to a place they’d feel most uncomfortable in.

    Put it a different way, if i were broken down on the side of a desolate road in the wee hours of the morning and only had a tire iron, i’d rate my chances much higher against a black gangster from LA than a middle aged white serial killer.

    There’s a reason why most black gangsters don’t live beyond 30 and why it takes decades to catch some of the worst serial killers the world has seen, something Bob Montgomery and Michael Moore might want to reflect on.
