‘…During the Obama administration, according to Pentagon data, police departments have received tens of thousands of machine guns; nearly 200,000 ammunition magazines; thousands of pieces of camouflage and night-vision equipment; and hundreds of silencers, armored cars and aircraft.
The equipment has been added to the armories of police departments that already look and act like military units. Police SWAT teams are now deployed tens of thousands of times each year, increasingly for routine jobs. Masked, heavily armed police officers in Louisiana raided a nightclub in 2006 as part of a liquor inspection. In Florida in 2010, officers in SWAT gear and with guns drawn carried out raids on barbershops that mostly led only to charges of “barbering without a license.”…’ source

The Progressives are making the dangerous assumption that all these weapons will remain in the hands of pro-Leftist formations in the event of an insurrection breaking out…
Like the man said, “Assumptions make an ass out of you and me.”
Or..”assumption is the mother of fuck-up”.

EXACTLY, Darin
History 101 – How the hell did Rommel kick British Army butt in North Africa when the Brits were better supplied and equipped by their awesome industry and Land Lease from the America
The answer is: ROMMEL’S AFRICA CORPS used captured British arms and equipment – like American four wheel drive weapon’s carriers – “liberated” from supply dumps and discovered intact on the field by the advancing elite German soldiers, who used the bounty to move the Brits back to the gates of Alexandria (where they ran out of gas..literally )…
A stat from WW II – 80% of Rommel’s supply trucks were captured from the British.
Now if the Brits had only left behind more gasoline…
Are civilian law enforcement agencies arming themselves? Absolutely. But it is a question of who they are arming themselves against, and that is the American people. The reason that the military makes a poor police force is because the soldier’s job is to protect the nation from their enemies. When a soldier has to enforce the laws of his nation as well, he eventually begins to see the civilians of that nation as the enemy. This is why the two missions are traditionally separated and why American’s hate the idea of being policed by the military.
Leftist jackasses in the media have said repeatedly that there is no cause to fear your government, but the proof is in the pudding. If government is no longer responsive to the will of the people, if the civilian law enforcement agencies are arming themselves for combat, if Federal agencies that do not have a responsibility for law enforcement are developing and implementing SWAT teams, if the Federal government is buying millions of rounds of ammunition, then we certainly do have reason to fear our own government.
We are locked out of the legislative process when the government feels like ramming legislation down our throats, the politicians freely lie to the American public, the news is in their hip pocket, what isn’t to fear? We have seen these signs before. In Nazi Germany, in Red China, and in the Soviet Union. In Germany, the Jews witnessed the rise of the Nazi party and did nothing. They were slaughtered because they didn’t believe that there was reason to fear. Ever has the left done this and ever have rivers of blood been created by these so called lovers of peace. The truth of the matter is that the only peace that the left really loves is the peace of the grave given their proclivity for murdering the people that they don’t like with wild abandon.
Mark my words, the government is seriously contemplating forcibly disarming the American citizen. There is a reason that Obama has given the green light in a memo to the American military to use force against American citizens. All that is lacking is an Executive Order repealing the second amendment. All of the pieces have been pre-positioned, the orders have been cut, the ammunition has been ordered, the Federal government has increased it’s protective and offensive capabilities against the American citizen, and the mainstream media is their lapdog.
No reason to fear the government? Does the government take the time to tell us what is going on? No. Do they lie to us? Yes. Do they cover up what they don’t want us to know? Yes. Do they have ties to people with radical ideas and agendas? Yes. I’m looking at this picture and it doesn’t look too good to me.
Keep your powder dry I say, because I don’t trust those bastards as far as I could throw them.
It wouldn’t be the first time the government in America went on a gun grab using military force – Does April 19, 1775 ring a bell
History 101 again – The British Army marched north from Boston to disarm the colonists and seize their munition supplies massed at Concord. Also, the illegal arrests of rebel leaders like Sam Adams was on the agenda.
…and on the way to Lexington, the Brits happened to march thru a little farming town named Lexington where a group of militiamen had mustered in the village Green and someone fired a shot…
The Revolutionary War would end in 1783 with the British withdrawal from the richest and most productive part of North America.
My point is that revolution in America happened once because of a government gun grab and it can happen again given an oppressive government’s insane lawless desire to disarm the American People.
BTW, there are many patriots today who want to fire that first shot and start a Second American Revolution…Did you see those pictures taken at the Bundy Ranch back in May? If the Feds had not backed down and withdrew from the field, more than one patriot sniper had a “Redcoat” in his sight.
All too true, sir. I for one am no fan of revolution. I know what happened during the Civil War and the next one will be far worse and may end up destroying our nation. Further, a war between ourselves will offer our enemies a chance as well. Will NATO stand without the U.S.? Will our allies? I don’t know. I have no doubt that the Union is threatened and that the government is off kilter. What I don’t know is how far they are willing to go in their pursuit of ever greater power. The Rubicon is the lives of the American public. If and when the left decides that lives are irrelevant to their constant pursuit of power, then revolt will be inevitable.
Until that time, I stand for peace and pray that sanity returns to our fellow citizens before they cross that line.
Well said, my friend
No sane person wants revolution – civil war. In the last one half the country was destroyed and over one million killed and wounded…
This out of a population of only 32 million in 1861.
However, there are worse things than civil war, for example, a concentration camp and slow death by starvation.
Yes, our foreign enemies will attempt to take advantage of civil war in America, as did France when they invaded Mexico in 1864, but the thing is they will be up to their eyeballs in problems caused by the global collapse that is sure to be part of the fall.
I agree with Lincoln: No foreign enemy can occupy America…
The main enemy is within…sometimes members of our own families…A Democrat or Republican Progressive is more to be feared than a Chinese soldier with a gun and bayonet.

All I have to say is Molon Labe mother f–ker!
From your second link:
“And Australia just said, well, that’s it, we’re not doing, we’re not seeing that again, and basically imposed very severe, tough gun laws, and they haven’t had a mass shooting since.”
To my knowledge, we’d never had a mass shooting before, either.
These bastards don’t care about facts. The objective is to disarm the citizenry, Just as Adolf Hitler and numerous other tyrants did. And I suspect for the same reasons……
“And I suspect for the same reasons……
Precisely the same reasons.
Sic vis pacem para bellum is my MO these days.
Once again, The Won, the smartest “man” to ever grace the White House, the magic negro, the Constitutional Scholar, is either utterly ignorant or is deliberately obfuscating.
The fact is, America (unlike most countries) is a nation governed by the Rule of Law. If he wants to change the foundation on which the nation is built, the founders gave him a mechanism for doing so. All he has to do is change Amendment II, not by whingeing to his Praetorian Guard media lapdogs, but by using either of the mechanisms articulated in Article V.
The problem he has, is he believes he is above The Law. He thinks if he desires something to be so, then so it shall be. The Constitution is a pesky, dusty old document written by slave-owning Old White Men* who could not possibly have imagined that one day America would be so blessed as to have The Won bestow his benevolence upon her.
So, if you want to change the Constitution, then talk to your buddies in Congress and the State Houses (you only need 3/5 of them), and get it changed. Until that time, the Executive has no authority (not even you, King Barry), and Congress Shall Make No Law!
*notwithstanding that every single member of his cabinet is an old white man, as are the legion he blew on a regular basis to get his education and world travel funded.
William Stout said “If and when the left decides that lives are irrelevant to their constant pursuit of power, then revolt will be inevitable.”
They already have, in very many ways.
And revolt looks to be no closer now than it was five years ago.
I have to disagree with you, good buddy.
THE UNITED STATES IS MUCH CLOSER TO CIVIL WAR THAN IT WAS EVEN TWO YEARS AGO
In all due respect to the other members of the Anglo-Saxon family in other parts of the planet, Americans really are different. We are republicans to the core of our beings. The definition I like best of republican is “Our Thing.” And we take this very seriously as the Revolutionary War and the U.S. Civil War have proven.
Today we are going thru what I call, “The Checklist” of actions before the conflict because we want history to record that all peaceful means of redress were tried before the guns begin to speak. We leave the drawing of “First Blood” to the enemy.
But let there be no question of our resolve. If we can settle this constitutional crisis peacefully with the left, then well and good, but they push into defense of our sacred Republic, then it’s going to take an army of historians to figure out how many dead and wounded fell in the next civil war.
As I’ve said many before the short coming in a nation that grants freedom of speech and assembly to everyone and sets a low bar on treason is that those who are opposed to liberty will use that freedom to overthrow democracy.
Yes, a terrible way of nationhood and I wish we were Canada or Australia where a civil war would never happen, but there it is…
Yes,I agree Ron,one of our better qualities is being slow to blood shed. Many don’t realize that the first Civil War was 20 years plus in the making.
The Civil War cost 620,000 lives, more than all our other wars combined with room to spare. When we do finally throw down,it will be massive and bloody.
I still don’t worry so much about a fight among ourselves, but rather who else might join in and on who’s side.
I know of one foreigner who will join in, and on which side.
I’m very happy that you disagree, Ronbo. It gives me some hope that the Republic will survive in a recognisable form.
And the fact that a civil war will never happen here is our loss, because the alternative is a continuing slow slide into serfdom.
