My brother and I were discussing the situation in Iraq earlier today. Four thousand Americans died there and for what? When the terrorists began their assault, the Iraqis dropped their weapons and ran offering up both small arms and crew served weapons and ammunition to their assailants. I am sick and tired of wasting American lives and the lives of our allies in a war that will ultimately accomplish nothing.
Better to just go back to the idea of the old World War II approach of killing them until their will to fight is dissipated and then go home when you sign the armistice. It is a far more brutal approach, but it is also a lot less costly in lives and your own blood.
And the only way to truly win a war.
It is an unfortunate and objectively observable fact that the UK and USA suffer the same punitive imposts as occupied Germany.
