John Key: U.N. poodle

‘Justice Minister Judith Collins has unveiled a range of law changes to crack down on corruption, organised crime and bribery in New Zealand.
….If the bill passed into law, banks and financial institutions would have to help Government detect money-laundering by reporting all international wire transfers of more than $1000 and all physical cash transactions of more than $10,000 to the police’s Financial Intelligence Unit.
…For a person to be found guilty of money-laundering, courts would no longer have to prove that the person intended to conceal a transaction.
…The amendments would allow New Zealand to ratify the United Nations Convention Against Corruption..’

Did anybody ask Kiwis whether they wanted to ratify that treaty? And the removal of the necessity for the State to prove intent represents a massive assault on civil liberties.
Yet these changes will fly under the radar of most voters, who are about to go ahead and vote themselves further into serfdom without the dimmest idea of how freedom is lost.

The noose tightens and most people don’t give a shit.

    Exactly :!:

The only people who will obey this law are the honest citizens, and the criminals by definition will simply ignore it.

Therefore, the law is directed at the honest, like the gun control laws that disarm the common citizen leaving only the politicians and criminals with guns.

It’s all about POWER: The POWER of Big Brother over YOU :!:

The anonaminity of cash has been a thorn in the side of the monster for some years so its not surprising that they are having a poke at it. A sad development for private but honest people. Its all about tax take so its rather galling that it comes from the tax expempt UN.
