The students should be congratulated.

‘Seven teenagers who attacked a gang member who went to their school allegedly looking for a fight, took the “law into their own hands”, the school principal says.
The incident, which occurred at Trident High School in Whakatane on Monday, attracted a crowd of onlookers as the man was kicked and punched, the Whakatane Beacon reported.
The 22-year-old victim was arrested for breaching his bail conditions and was trespassed from the school, while two others were trespassed in an effort to calm the situation.
The year 11, 12 and 13 students involved have been stood down and would attend a disciplinary meeting on Friday involving school staff and police youth aid officers…’
They took the law into their own hands because the “law” is effing useless when it comes to dealing with thuggery in a timely, effective manner. I hope there are more such incidents.

Well done. I doubt I’d have had the same courage at that age, numbers on my side or not.

The school’s response could not have been more damaging to their own credibility. Though the act was small in global terms, these kids will go down as legends in their suburb and their peers will remember this as long as they live. The faculty has achieved nothing but to entrench themselves as helpless, dottering old fools.

According to principal Philip Gurney there were “any number of staff who would have gone out and handled it…”
Does that mean it’s ok for the staff to “take the law into their own hands”?
I think the only things Gurney et al would have been capable of taking into their hands would have been their limp dicks.
Now that the students solved the problem it’s easy for Gurney to threaten action against them. What a pathetic piece of shit.

One gang member will have a hard time living down the fact that he got a whupping by schoolboys

The basic deal is that the government would take over enforcing the criminal law and citizens would give up self help. It led to much less killing over the centuries. Now it appears the government is not upholding its part of the deal. Esp. where it comes to repelling invasion.

I can’t speak to what these students thought at the time but it’s quite clear that the, um, unofficial actions resulted in a resolution of the problem that was WAY more satisfying than the official resolution would have been. (And is there ANY doubt that citizen border enforcement would solve the invasion problem that the useless, treasonous government refuses to solve?)

To forestall gang retaliation the police should harass the gang and make their lives hell. More “unofficial” persuasion may be necessary there.

Bottom line, the law’s not working. Self defense laws need to be liberalized drastically. The government is no longer entitled to a presumption of good faith. Quite the bleeping contrary.

    Amen! to that.

It’s a sad day when our kids have to teach us how to deal with predatory scum – something we should have done for them.
On the upside, learning by experience rather than by example or indoctrination will be a lifelong asset and beneficial for their survival and that of all of us in the long term
As for the Principal perhaps it’s time that a few of the parents had a quiet word with him and the rest of his staff present at the incident and reminded them regarding their duty of care. Politely, of course.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cool.gif

The principal, of course, is hamstrung – whether willingly or unwillingly.
Until enough people refuse to be bound by petty PC non-commonsense regulations and turn around and simply do the right thing – with middle digit very publicly raised – nothing will change.
Whenever we see someone do that, let’s get behind the poor crucified bastard and show he or she that they’re not alone.
That way, some momentum may begin to build, as it did in Eastern Europe under the Soviets. We could do with some of that bravery.

Bravery? From a public servant with his own little fiefdom?

As if tiddles is going to risk his throne by endorsing masculinity or common sense.

A propos the idea of breakdown of the pact between people and king, there’s this snippet:

The word “Muslim” nowhere appears in the news account [if the swarm of attackers on a French train]. But everyone reading this news article will know at once that the word must be supplied, and all that it tells us about the state of France, and the despair of so many, waiting for the most obvious measures to be taken for civilisational and physical security of the French, besieged by Muslims in their midst.

    ~ Hugh Fitzgerald

Good luck, my French friends. The most obvious measures for your security will NOT be taken. And they won’t happen in our countries either.

Time for that awesome card game “52 Pick Up.”

Because we are mere fodder for those with real power. And that won’t change until we pick up a gun and explosives, hemp rope in hand.
