Orca or killer whales overcome this by attacking stingrays by holding their sting down while the other goes in for the kill. In fact they are the apex predator in the sea, they even take great white sharks out.

    • Pascal says:

See, they had to think twice. LOL

Only three animals have figured out how to eat porcupines. Bobcats, cougars and fishers have learned that a porcupine has no quills on its stomach. So one of these predators will sometimes kill and eat a porcupine by flipping it onto its back and biting into its vulnerable belly.

But I bet they still wind up taking a quill now and then. I like that.

    Here’s a question.
In New Zealand, when someone dies/drowns at a beach, the local iwi may issue some kind of temporary “ban” on people doing things at the beach.
Most Kiwis probably acquiesce to this, out of fear of causing “offence,” but is there any legal force behind such an iwi ban?
    Please enlighten me.
Ought the feelings of one ethnic group have dominance over all others in this country?

    • Ronbo says:

It’s very simple, Comrade! All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others. Doubleplusgood, heh? See you at the Two Minute Hate.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_wacko.gif

    • KG says:

The bans have no legal force whatsoever, Odakyu-sen.

      • Odakyu-sen says:

        Thank you KG.
I didn’t think that the “rahui” (iwi-generated ban) edicts did have any legal force. (The big one in Auckland being over Kauri die-back in the Waitakeres. I hope the possums disinfect their little feet like the humans, under orders of Auckland Council zealots.)

I am amused at the way the media pitches “rahui” as being “law that must be obeyed without question.” Local government also support this mindset.

        • KG says:

Forcing people to comply with idiocy, against their own commonsense, is all about power and conditioning them into obedience as serfs.

That’s hilarious. Even better than I ever thought Grease was because it was about an era I only missed by a couple of years but I was too old for its brand of humor when it came out.

    • mawm says:

I have noticed the more socialist a country is the less humour there is. I miss the Jews I was with at university who could tell the most hilarious anti-Semitic jokes and naturally in a country that had so many ethnic groups there was a different slant on racism and the humour it generated. Nobody took offence.

    • Ronbo says:

      You got it!

One set of laws for the Leftist – especially “The Too Big To Jail” Lefties like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama – and another little people like us, who are required to tug the forelock for the Big People and obey their every whim. It’s global thing right now – just ask Tommy Robinson – if he’s still alive in a “Kill Tommy, Kill Whitey” prison.

Oh! Before I forget: June 15th was 803 years since 1215, when the Barons forced King John to sign “The Great Charter” that was the beginning of the end to totalitarian rule in England by the monarch.

Today it would appear totalitarianism has returned to the West World with a vengeance.

      • Darin says:

Not to mention this sets a precedent. Now others can figure on kidnapping their child from their partner and heading for NZ,because even if found out the soft headed judges will let them stay with no consequences being paid.

      • Yokel says:

Ronbo, what seems to have happened is that after a brief period of something called democracy (now given the “shame name” of “populism”) the barons have decided that they actually like totalitarian rule, provided they are the new totalitarians. The monarch has none of her powers back, but the barons have appropriated all that power to themselves.

For the old Great Charter the target was easy, there was only one king. A new “even Greater Charter” will be much more difficult to achieve because there are so many barons to put back in their place.

  11. Ronbo says:

Meanwhile, America has a new political prisoner: Paul Manafort – Trump’s former campaign manager – and his real crime in the eyes of the Leftist oligarchy who have imprisoned him by way of stooge Democrat prosecutors and judge – is getting his client elected PUSA.

Thus an American joins Tommy Robinson imprisoned by the British Leftist oligarchy….Thus the era of the political prisoner has risen once again in the West World, where the lights are still going out despite the ongoing revolution by the righteous.

The streets are filthy. There’s trash everywhere. It’s disgusting,’ Joe D’Alessandro, president of S.F. Travel, told the Chronicle earlier this year.

‘I’ve never seen any other city like this — the homelessness, dirty streets, drug use on the streets, smash-and-grabs.’

Kevin Carroll, executive director of the Hotel Council of San Francisco, told the paper that if something is not done soon, businesses are going to suffer from a lack of tourist dollars.

‘People come into hotels saying, “What is going on out there?”‘ They’re just shocked. People say, “I love your city, I love your restaurants, but I’ll never come back.'”

    • Pascal says:

Yes on that first link for sure.

Democracy is the mechanism by which citizens change their representatives so as to alter government rule.
Governments that wishes to rule despite citizen wishes are seeking to change the voters that choose the representatives by any means they can pull off disguised as democracy.

That’s even before you get to the systemic voter fraud in states like my own, California, that was abetted by GOPe here to aid their Democrooked buddies.

    • Pascal says:

And yes on that third link too.

A majority of European natives across most all countries are largely convinced they were EUchered into voting for the EU and want out now.

Watch the Euro-elite grovel to make it appear they agree with their old voters even as they need the new ones to survive. See Macron suddenly about face on his stance that originally opposed the Italian Interior minister.

Maybe his Kabuki theater of a power struggle with Germany (Franco-German disharmony yet again?) may be bought by some foolish voters, but I think not as many as before.

So the market is dipping slightly because Trump is threatening China with more tariffs. I see another Trump move here where he is going to take the Left to the cleaners (again). To me it looks like he is just setting the stage for another deal/agreement, this time with China where they open their markets to US goods/businesses. When that happens (he has time yet before the mid-terms considering how fast he moves), the markets will shoot off again, business and consumer confidence will increase and the Left will accuse him of being too successful (again).

As debate continues over the Trump administration’s “zero-tolerance” immigration policy, questions are being asked about a non-profit group that has collected huge amounts of government money to house and care for thousands of immigrant children being held in the system.
Texas-based Southwest Key Programs has taken in roughly $1 billion in federal contracts since the Obama administration, and is expected to receive about $500 million this year to house and provide services for immigrant children, according to reports.
And Southwest officials receive significant compensation for their efforts. WQAD reported tax filings show Juan Sanchez, the group’s founder and CEO, received nearly $1.5 million in 2016 – nearly twice the previous year’s salary, of $786,822. His wife, Jennifer, vice president of Southwest Key, received about $280,000 in 2015 in total compensation, WQAD reported.’
