      Yes, he’s the only one with a rational view of the situation. I think he’s particularly right in his assessment in the last four paragraphs. We are already seeing seismic shifts in the political culture of western Europe. In a nutshell, it will be liberals making the mess and conservatives cleaning it up as always.

    I’ve just returned home from a self imposed masochism session. I visitd the local Saturday Market and engaged my local Labour MP (Rachel Boyak) and her assistants in a discussion of climate change. My question was “What has the Government determined to be the ideal level of CO2 in the atmosphere.”

    Their reply was that the goal is to limit the temperature. Repeated attempts to get them to actually answer my question proved fruitless. For some reason the government wants to limit the level of CO2 without having any set goal. Attempts on my part to drag them back to the original query were brushed aside.

    My follow-up was “If NZ achieved the desired reduction in CO2 emissions, what would be the effect on world temperatures.” While they admitted the effect would be small, the insistence was that by leading, NZ would encourage other countries to follow suit.

    I’d have been better to bang my head against the wall. At least that way, I would have saved the gas from driving and accomplished getting a headache sooner with less effort.

    P.S. As part of the plan to reduce emissions, the MP admitted one of the policies is to reduce the number of vehicles on the road.

          Yes, he has quite a way with words, and also in choosing that which he likes from others.

          I chose to alter one quote he highlighted because I feel I can make it more precise.

          1. The addition of sneer quotes to democratic is because when vote counts are hugely suspect it’s hard not to gag.

          2. I replaced uneducated with misinformed because were the education received legitimate, uneducated would not be a problem. Indoctrinated into believing and spewing misinformation is indicative of “education.” The stupidity is paramount because the natively intelligent soon catch on to how badly they’ve been misled.

          The most important observation of the whole piece is that the stupid have been deliberately selected for positions of authority. What was not explicitly stated is that doing so is the equivalent of throwing a monkey wrench into smoothly working gears.

          Thanks for the heads up mawm so I could spot and fisk this one that was almost on target.

              Ed, the perverted are a subset of the stupid. Our media has been sensationalizing them at least since The Deerhunter where the character played by Christopher Walken was addicted to playing Russian Roulette.

              It was in finding ways to make merit be a secondary consideration that had to come first.

              For instance affirmative action I recall how one black commentator was offended by the white lib push for affirmative action. “So you think us so stupid that we first seek out a surgeon who looks like us before we learn he has the skills to save our lives?”

              The Progressive movement, as with everything Prog, is regressive in every way possible. Destruction of merit had to be the start and that is also linked to faith in He Who serves as the standard for all merit.

              So putting a stupid person in authority came first with them. Now they’ve added that that idiot is also a flagrant pervert. It serves to be only an additional affront. The full message is intended to rile us “In your face normee; watcha gonna do about it?”

                It was my intent when mentioning this on air to reference that any standard homosexual must be insulted by their promotion because it denigrates their merit based promotions (Grinnell?).
                Similar to blacks resenting affirmative action promotions that reflect badly on their own hard work.
                But it was too much and not germane.

    This is a good read as to where we are at the moment with Nordstream, Ukraine and the US. An interesting point that James Kunstler makes is that the US probably committed an act of war against one of its allies, Germany, and probably the rest of NATO.

    Is this the end of NATO? I’m not surprised that NATO has said no to Ukraine’s application to join. I can imagine that there must be a large amount of anger toward hegemonic US of A (the is assuming that NATO have confirmation of the US’s role in the sabotage).

      NATO has been having meetings that not all members are invited to. I think the German, French and most likely UK leadership all not only knew about the pipe line strike, but probably wholeheartedly approved.

      The medical community here is getting to be a horror show. I also noticed in the write up for the young woman that was killed, that she had Down’s. I have no doubt that contributed to her being pushed out the door at the hospital. There seems to be a concerted effort to exterminate Down’s patients from existence.

      In another country I in a position where I had to determine brain death of patients on life support. I was always very uncomfortable doing so. One of our principles was to have a wall of separation between us and the transplant surgeons to prevent any influence from them and they would only be informed after such determination was made. They complained of course that it didn’t give them enough time to do tissue matching and get the recipients into hospital. I feel that we did maintain an ethical standard.

      The practice has changed so much and patients are declared transplant donors much more readily. Fortunately in NZ, as far as I’m aware, the awful spectre of organs for purchase from still alive patients has not happened.

    I post this with absolutely no corroboration. The author claims that this is all open source if you know how to find it. He also claims that he tracks military flights around the world and that there are many others that do as he does – including the Russians.

    Here are a few facts about the sabotage:

    Biden said we were going to do it

    It happened “overnight” on the 26th of September

    We have a US Navy P8 fly from the United States to a refueling rendezvous point over Grudziądz Poland at 0210 hrs GMT

    The two aircraft, Callsign N/A, and BART12 sync up at 26,400 ft for an extended 1:20 minute refueling, disconnecting at 0328 hrs GMT

    The BART12 air refueler RTB’d to Spangdahlem Air Base Germany and one should note the flight record has been wiped

    The Navy P8 then continues onto the Nord Stream Pipeline location and descends to an altitude of <10,000 ft at 0345 hrs GMT

    The Navy P8 exits the area just prior to 0700 hrs and is the only aircraft over the area the entire time

    At 0709 hrs GMT the Navy P8 returns back to the United States. Note: the US Navy P8 HexCode is AE6851 and is NOT listed in the aircraft database. Furthermore, the aircraft flew as “masked” meaning it did not want to be tracked

    Datapoint, there were recorded 2.3 magnitude shakes in the area at that same time

    The following morning NATO Forces announce that overnight the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline has been sabotaged

    A Poland Ministry Official posts a tweet thanking the United States for taking out the Pipeline

    On September 29th in front of the UN Security Council a Russian Federation spokesperson presents the known facts and asks the United States representative directly in a yes or no requested response, “did the United States take out the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline” in which the US representative did not confirm nor deny it and didn’t answer the question, but instead took an offensive posture

        How bad would the explosion of an LNG tanker be? Apparently a typical LNG tanker would equate to 775 kilotons of TNT. Hiroshima yielded 15 kilotons of TNT.
