Oh poor baby. We had snow earlier this week.

  2. Darin says:

In your last post on this subject you mentioned screeching Parrots.

That’s the one thing I could not tolerate.Used to have a neighbor with a Parrot collection, mostly ones that never shut up it seemed. Those birds had no clue how many times I thought they would make good targets

the poor things shut up in cages get neurotic, Darin. No wonder they screech..these are just being sociably noisy.

      • Darin says:

These weren’t caged,no they were free to roam the house and yard,Yard was blocked in with mesh, one big blue and green bastard used to perch on the fence next to my bedroom window.I think he thought he was a Rooster, every morning he would crank up RHAAAAAAACH…..RHAAAAAAAAACH!!!!

I didn’t sleep in for two years until “Mrs Hitchcock” moved to Florida.

Wabbit, it’s been over 30 years now since I was there and I want you to know that I am no longer envious. I am merely learning how to hate your advertising with that deep and abiding intensity that comes to me every year at the start of our dreary English winters.

P.S. Lots of hints about fish and fishing but no photographs. Que?

    • KG says:

Well, just remember the downside, Seneca. Heat and dust and flies and lots of bity things….and backpacker girls getting around in simply disgusting outfits as they try to cope with the heat. Awful, it is.
We’re just checking out the likely fishing spots right now–getting a rental unit and moving in took all day today.
      There will be fish.

  4. I was in Munich last week. 7c and foggy. Quite miserable it was.
Arrived in NZ on Friday. The weather seemed cold over the weekend but at least I have taken my coat off.

It must have been in the low 20’s today and we haven’t had to light the fire in weeks!

The wife even got a bit sunburnt today…

  6. MIchael in Nelson says:

    KG,

And your air conditioner burnt out when? FFS!!! 20+ degrees at night!! How the HE!! did either of you get any sleep???!!

    • KG says:

 Not just 20+ Michael–it’s around 80% humidity as well. And it’ll still be 20+ and around 98% when the wet season starts–bucketing rain and sticky as hell.
      And we love it.
