  3. When Obama beat McCain in 2008, I was in a Bar in Auckland and it had all these ex pat Americans watching on the big screen.

    When it was confirmed that Obama was the next President they all broke into tears and said Oh we can go home now?? They were saying they moved to NZ because of BUSH!! :rant

    • We’ve always had American refugees (usually well-heeled), buying up the best parts of our country. In turn, they’ve fled from Johnson, Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2 – and I expect the Obama contingent any day now. Why they don’t understand that they have the remedy/ies in their own hands is beyond me.
