The Iron Legion:

‘…Trump isn’t popular merely due to his tapping into a rising anti-immigration sentiment though. That’s been done before and hasn’t taken off. What he has done differently to anybody else before him is to barge into politics with a massive pair of balls and no desire to appease anybody, and he has generated a cult following because of it. He’s a breath of old-timey, masculine cologne in an increasingly feminine world….’

In key moments in American history, we have been blessed by God with great leaders – George Washington in the American Revolution – Abraham Lincoln in the U.S. Civil War – Franklin Roosevelt in World War II.

Maybe Trump is THE MAN for this Great Crisis? Time will tell…

  2. KG says:

I have reservations about Lincoln, Ronbo.
Yep, we’re that far gone, Pascal. But hopefully the whole thing is spiralling out of the Statist’s control – into chaos.

    • Wombat says:

Lincoln traded The Union for The Federation, and sprinkled the pixie dust of anti-slavery over that shit sandwich to make it taste better for the historians.

The fucker owned slaves himself FFS.

It’s one of history’s greatest whitewashes.

It’s the smell of raw unreconstructed testosterone! http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

However, the GOPe will not allow him to win. They still think American’s want a neutered, feminised, new-age beta male.

That said I think Cruz would be a more capable war president. He’s also endowed with a pair of large ones (and I still think that Trump is his stalking horse).

    • KG says:

Trump could surround himself with good advisors, Mawm, and his experience is light-years ahead of Obama’s when he slithered into office.
I agree about Trump being Cruz’s stalking horse though.

      • The Gantt Guy says:

I absolutely agree that if Trump gets there, he will have to surround himself with good advisers. That should start with asking Cruz to be his VP – Cruz’ fealty to the Constitution is proven and unyielding. Trump’s attitude is “Constitution? What Constitution?”

Carly would make an excellent SecState, Carson for HHS, Christie (yes, the Trenton Doughboy) for Attorney-General and Paul for whatever’s left (except Defense).

That said, I still hope Cruz pulls out of The Donald’s slipstream as they round the fourth bend on the final lap and takes the win. He’s the most Conservative candidate in the race, the one who’s proven time and again he will punch the leadership of both parties in the face and has the strongest allegiance to the Founders.

        • Wombat says:

As has been stated elsewhere, at very least Trump is pushing the Republican candidates farther away from the center than they would otherwise drift.

Ironic, though. Who’d have thought that at any stage in history two of the three frontrunners for the Republican candidacy would be the sons of Cubans.

  4. Cadwallader says:

First: I hope for a GOP President.
    Second: I agree with Gantt.
Third: If Cruz gets to the White Horse what role could he offer Trump given he is not in the Senate?
Fourth: Is Hillary secure to obtain the Democrat nomination?

    • Cadwallader says:

PS One of Trump’s endearing sides is that he is spending his own $$$$ and not sucking from a public tit. This fact alone warms my heart almost above freezing point.

      • The Gantt Guy says:

Are any of them sucking from the public teat? I think they’re all privately funded (Cruz by a eye-wateringly massive number of small donations), and because he’s self-funding, Trump isn’t bought and paid for by any of the fascist organisations (Bush by the Chamber of Crony Capitalism, for example).

    • The Gantt Guy says:

I don’t think he offers Trump anything, and not because Trump isn’t in the Senate. I think offering Trump anything (except maybe WH Comms Director?) other than POTUS would be an insult; a sign of a bad winner and I think Cruz has waaaaay too much class to rub Trump’s nose in it (if it comes to that).

Who would be a good Veep for Cruz? Not sure – maybe Carly?
