Allowing foreign buyers to distort the market to the extent they are cannot be good for NZ. Subsequent to comments appended to that article SW posted an elaboration of his thoughts on the matter (11th July). In the comments thereafter ‘Wombat’ quoted from the work of Edmund Burke – “Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontents” – which he, Wombat, preceded with the sub-heading “Who can address the matter more eloquently?” This is my reply to that question.
