‘A former Maori Party candidate, Gisborne district councillor and Tairawhiti Health Board member has been struck off as a lawyer after falsifying 20 signatures while processing Treaty of Waitangi claims.
Gisborne lawyer Atareta Poananga admitted four charges before the Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal – two of forgery and false declaration, and two of misconduct relating to the period 2008 to 2010.
……A New Zealand Herald report from 2001 described Poananga as the “militant face of the 70s and 80s Maori nationalism movement”.
In 1985, she caused controversy with her remarks about “the riff-raff, flotsam and jetsam of British culture” and that Pakehas should leave New Zealand or accept Maori sovereignty.
She caused a “stir” on both sides of the Tasman that year when she delivered a paper on decolonisation at a conference, including comments that whites in Australia and New Zealand should return to their ancestral lands….’
Ain’t it odd, folks, how the “racist” epithet only seems to be used against whitey? And a huge bureaucracy is in place to detect and punish it?

‘TV3 reports that the Minister of Maori Affairs, who has just returned from a visit to China with a Maori trade delegation, is hopeful that the China Development Bank will work with Maori on future business projects. With the Marine and Coastal Area Act specifically encouraging tribal owners to “develop” the foreshore and seabed to “derive commercial benefit”, it is likely that such joint ventures may focus on coastal development such as mining for iron sands, rare earths, and other minerals, as well as aquaculture…
Exploration and development in NZ is put through an unbelievable amount of bureaucratic red tape. I’m willing to bet any project between maori and Chinese will be fast-tracked, and I’m also willing to bet that Kiwis are going to see “Chinese only” coastal resorts springing up all around the coasts in areas that are lost to most non-maoris.

‘Hastings man Trent Owen Ngaruhe Hapuku has been sentenced to nine years in prison for killing his partner’s five-month old son, who interrupted him while playing a video game…’
So he’ll now spend roughly 5-6 years in prison, with three meals a day, playing video games–uninterrupted by crying babies–at the taxpayer’s expense. Not a bad outcome, from his point of view….

I know this part of NZ very well indeed. It’s full of dope-smoking layabouts who thieve and generally behave like primitive assholes. Most of the people up there are on welfare and I hate to think what this particular piece of garbage has already cost the taxpayer. Of course, if he dies he’ll be described as a “fine young man with a promising future, who never hurt a fly”.  The odds of that being true are about 5000:1

Wabbit just paid $200 and spent three hours at a firearms safety course (compulsory for licence) which taught him not to point loaded guns in unintended directions or at unintended targets. Civilization is so much safer now….
